thesiren, yeah, I'm pretty much annoyed by the bad interior of the Lilac First (especially because I have an authentic first and I can obviously compare and it's even more annoying when you see it side by side).

I was just wondering, do the other Lilac Firsts that the girls got also have the same issue, or have I just gotten a bad one? Girls, could you report?

My Lilac First has the leather inside the inside pocket...

Only certain Chanel styles from TSE are better than Jackies. Jackie has the best Chanel hands down, I also buy from a private supplier that can get me bags from Jackies factory. One of the most popular TSE styles that is better than Jackie, is the Chanel Jumbo XL Vintage Flap bag with Gold hardware in Black, Red, Tan, and Dark Blue.

Will you post pics of TSE's Chanel Jumbo XL? Jacky's is pretty much flawless so I can't imagine a better one, but I'd love to see pics!!

So you think the leather makes it look fake? Maybe if I shined it up with a leather wax?! It would be more high-shine then, more lambskin-like, what do you think?

it's not just the leather. the seams to do not seem to line up correctly (though i've seen auth chanels with the same issue, but it looks bad on any bag - real or fake), and the sides of the bag just look faulty. honestly, it looks kind of cheap. i'm VERY picky though. i'm just saying, don't waltz into chanel!

thanks for the info allegra! i hope the black leather from their next batch is gorgeous like the recent batches of argent, anthra, and amethyst... i mean they should be getting better right? my black city from 2 years ago from them is not that great leather-wise (thin, not veiny, kinda shiny)... xooey mentioned their black GGH city being really "plasticky" and she had to toughen it up with conditioner a buncha times.

I hope so! I ordered a black city and I really hope it looks like the beautiful leather on all of the recent bags. I assume it will because like you said, T&D are getting better and better!

I ordered a Maldives day GSH and now I'm considering changing it. I'm so torn! I'm just not sure I'll use that style as much? I used to love the day but now I'm not so sure. Girls who have Days - do you love it or hate it?

I love my Giant Days w/GSH. I wear them all the time. I think no Bal collection should be without one. I have an Apple Green from T&D and I do love it so. I think that the Maldives w/GSH looks great in either the Day or the City. Get the one you think you will use the most.

Just wanted to let you girls in on another leather-softening secret I've found.. not sure if it's been mentioned here before.. I had an EB GSH part time from T&D I had never worn b/c it was just too shiny/stiff feeling.. anyways I really wanted to take it with me on my trip to Europe a few weeks ago so I did some last-minute Meijer shopping & bought Kiwi brand Mink Oil (comes in a little tin like shoe polish). I applied it to the bag and was shocked at how good the bag looked afterwards! It was soft, much less shiny & totally wearable. It didn't leave the bag any darker than it's original color or sticky at all (which I've heard a few of you girls complain about with some of the products you use on your T&D bags)
Just applied it to my Amethyst city (pictures to follow) and plan to use it on the other bags as well..
It didn't remove ALL the shine, but it definitely made it much more subtle and natural-looking (maybe with a few more coats, but I didn't want my bag completely matte anyways)

The fact that it doesn't actually have a base is what I love most about it because I don't carry that much stuff in my bags really. That's why I normally don't like big bags, they usually look awful when not completely full of stuff. With the Brief, it looks great no matter how many things I put in it, be it half empty or very full (and it doesn't get distorted in this case).

What are the measurements of the brief? Does it come with a detachable shoulder strap? I have BBS' measurements for all the other bags but not the brief. Thanks

I NEVER use my day! Never! And it's in that beautiful rubisse...a color I love! But the style of it is just not appealing. I did see pics on tpf of the electric bleu day with GSH and it's so pretty that i'm considering a day with GH, but not sure. Really like the city and the PT (my new favorite!).

not sure of the exact measurements (mine isn't with me atm), but the brief does not come with a shoulder strap. that would rule though.

a day HAS to have GSH or GGH to look good imho. the RH are horrid in anything other than black. so painfully boring...they look like a big feed sack or something.

lanabana: I lve my Day bags! I definitely recommend getting one!
I haven't been wearing mine lately since I've gotten so many new bags/styles but when I do wear the Day it's just awesome!
It always stays on my shoulder and out of the way (which is perfect for those serious, get-down-to-business shopping trips ) and it never causes any pain, digs into my skin or anything like that. The only issue I could see one having with it is that it is only worn one way (at least that's how I see it) and that's a little limiting. I like to be able to hold my bags in my hand or crook of the arm, and the day doesn't really look as fab hanging at the waist or dragging close to the ground...kwim? It's basically a hobo, so it should stay up on the shoulder

For those wondering about the brief-- I love it!! It fits comfrotably on my shoulder with plenty of room for long sleeves or a light jacket.
Because of it's unique design, it is slim yet roomy but it can be stuffed to the brim, opened and pulled apart for maximum access.
I hope T&D start to make the brief in all colors. I'm in love!

Also, I want to say that in my opinion and experience as a big bag-only girl (work, WE, briefs, PTs) that the twiggy actually holds more than the city.
I have switched back and forth between my Vert D'eau GGH City and Vert D'eau Twiggy and hands down I can stuff more into the twiggy than I can the city.
The city is much more structured and narrow, whereas the twiggy's full length zipper and deep barrel design lends itself to being much more accessible.
But that's just my observation.

I totally agree with Amethyst_Sparkle about the day.
Something else I don't think has been mentioned is that the style really emphasizes the smooshyness and drape of the leather, whereas I don't think the city style does.
But then it is definitely a much more casual style.

Ooh would you guys say the twiggy holds the same as a pt then? I know the pt holds more than a city cuz it's bgger but the twiggy is roomy..

With the exception of a sweater (which I always have with me because I get cold easily and often) I can say in my experience, yes, everything that fits in my PT fits into my twiggy without looking stuffed. I can put my sweater in my twiggy as well, but I have to roll it and actually put in the effort to arrange all my things nice and neat instead of my usual haphazard toss-and-go mess.

I think I just need to give me day another go. It would seem to be my obvious favorite as the shape of it is visually appealing to me, but I have just taken to the other bags. Maybe easier access?? Not really sure. But I definitely like the way the GH looks on the day.

Hahaha! Only one of my kiddos is old enough to tattle, and he does it by accident "Daddy, do you like Mommy's pretty new bag?". He notices details and usually comes in in the middle of my giddy bag slashing and comments on all the bags and their colors. My anthra is the new favorite!

I think the Day is a great bag on other people. I don't like it on me. I actually prefer RH on the Day though...I also don't care for the Bal hobo....I just prefer more structured bbags. I like hobos from other designers so it's just my personal preference. The Brief is shoulder carried, but is different from a hobo b/c it's not slouchy. As ame pointed out, it can be worn in the crook of the arm. It's a very chic looking bag. I'm also hoping T&D will do it in many other colors! Marine with GGH....y u m m y!
