The inside pocket on my EB is sewn onto the lining, kind of as an afterthought and has a leather strip on the inside of it, but there's no stitching on the outside of the bag.

I just wish we knew when it changed and what's the deal with the leather strap inside the inner pocket so we can give them clearer instructions.

I couldn't find an answer, so I have no idea when they changed the way the inner pocket was stitched and which styles were involved. It's still a mystery to me.

I sent the boys a picture of the inside pocket of my City bag along with the measurements of the pocket. I don't see any leather strap inside the inner pocket except for the small one which is attached to the zipper pull. I sent the boys detailed pictures and hopefully they will implement this change in the Fall Bags.

Coco109 - Thanks for sending them a picture of your inner pocket. I think that certain years had the pockets 'gusseted' and others had them sewn on top if that makes sense.
It all depends on the year I think. I've no idea about the leather inside the inner pocket. I need to do more research on that one...

I am not sure abt that, but they were not planning on making a Day rh, but they agreed after I insisted on the rh instead of gh so why dont you try emailing them?

danger_mouse, coco109, thanks for emailing the boys and reporting here It's great that they will be correcting the inner pockets on new bags, I'm just not sure how it should look on Turq because it's from 2005.

If any of you girls find more details about the "gusseted" and other pockets, please report here, I haven't been able to find an overview of the different kinds of pockets on different styles and from different seasons.

I know that they are making the Black City Bag w/RH. Not sure about Black City with GGH or GSH.

I'm still waking up (way too damn early!) so I can't be too certain of this but I'm pretty sure I remember that the new, non-gusseted pockets were just one of the many newly instated "alterations"/ "down grades" to the latest seasons of Bals--along with no pockets on the backs of mirrors, no more extra free tassels, and no more feet on the bottom of certain (or all) bags. This was complained about and discussed ad nauseam over at tPF, in addition to the fact that Bal prices had jumped once again, so try doing a search there??

I ordered the turquoise First too!
The first DOES have the mirror though...but it's detachable. I don't get the point in the mirrors personally and don't use them on either of my other 2 Firsts...

Does anyone have a Weekender? Are they as awesome as everything else by T&D or need I ask...?

ambidextrous and Chelsita, I'm getting a Turq First too, so excited about it! Firsts definitely come with mirrors, I find them very handy and use them a lot!

I did search the TPF about the pockets and actually those non-gusseted pockets can be found on older bags, e.g. from 2005. However, as I have said, I haven't been able to find a detailed overview of which style/season bags have gusseted/non-gusseted inner pockets.
