sanitizedfashion; you mentioned a while back that you wished someone did the Chanel you wanted? I can't remember exactly, but was it something from a few seasons ago? So what is your HG bag? Is it a jumbo/vintage flap? I like Chanel but not enough to feel that I could use it as an everyday bag. I could for sure wear a classic flap, timeless clutch or kelly style for a special occasion. (the kelly is like my favourite chanel).
I am really partial however, to a bag from several seasons ago called, I think the Chanel Noe. I think it was heavily repped although I've never seen anyone carry one.
I love when I return and I've got like four + pages to go through. I
really wanted someone to make some of the more vintage jumbo's (not the XL although very similar), but with some of the more unique designs (patent, vertical, horizontal, and V-shaped stitching etc.). Frustrating, because I know it can be done and Jacky already has the correct hardware. I just love the look of the bag. If you know where to look, you can find these vintage babies for as low as $900-$1,000; So I figure I'll just wait for the right one and buy authentic. Now, I'm eyeing the modern jumbo or the new maxi as my HG but from the permanent ligne, so they're always in production. I just want details that would bug me to be close, i.e. linings, screws, no. of quilts etc. To me, these are what give Chanel reps up. I love classic flaps for day, evening, just all the time! I need something bigger these days than a WOC and small. My birthday is later this month, so we'll see if my I'll be getting faux or authentic
before the price increase in Feb. Not sure I can help you with the Noe

, because I've never seen an authentic one IRL. Although, my big sister got one (on Canal St.

) years ago when we were young teenagers and it's still going strong besides the fact that she throws it on the floor. I think with Chanel reps, it's important to check for stitch detailing. Like, her Noe, is surprisingly well-made except for the somewhat crooked stitching of the "CC." For me, a dead giveaway, KWIM?
Oh,
shelleybean, I might be falling for your wit! I know what you mean about bags too expensive. I kind of feel that way about the python PS1, which retails for about $4k. I also, recently found out that the LV SC bag retails for about $4k too, which put it lower on my prioritized list. Some handbags are just unreasonable for what they are and if I wouldn't pay for it at retail then I figure that I shouldn't own it even when they are attainable, if that makes sense. Not to mention that I've kind of started seeing this opulent guy, and friends, who is really into LV and fashion in general, no design goes past him which I don't really like

. However, I agree that the general public is unaware of the relative prices of designer handbags and fail to recognize that non-obvious reps exist. I mean, who would suspect a faux MJ sasha messenger or Bal coin purse

? Pardon, all my questions about authentic-ish details, as everyone has said, I just don't want to be
that girl... with the obvious rep

even aside from how it's rocked, you know?
sure! im nervous about receiving the bag though. for some reason i thought the bag was only 15" long not 18.5"
Thank you, but
pixellated sent me the picture. I thought you were getting the vintage jumbo xl. When it arrives please post mod pictures! I love the size, but just wanna see it semi-in person

. Although, I can understand your apprehension, it's a biggie.
Ladies, I'm loving this Birkin love. A few days ago I was googling the Olivia Birkin thing and tPF came up. It was in the "Celebrities and their birkins" from Feb 2009, where someone had posted Olivia and Birkin and someone was like, 'I could be wrong, but it looks fake. those handles are much too long.' To which someone harshly replied, "NO! It's not fake." How little they knew

.
