can someone help to clarify why some black chanel jumbo has the small curved/convex clasp while others have the flat clasp? the recent ones I saw in stores are always flat for caviars in classic colors such as black, and the convex ones are for those seasonal colors in caviar and lambskin.. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Hi Xooey, Between Jacky's #2886 Black Caviar w/silver amd #1112 LAMBSKIN, which would you say is closer to the authentic? (personal style preferences aside! )

Also, do any of the ladies here know if Catty and Jacky's Chanels compare?

Oooh Catty's "super" Chanel bags are so exhorbitant!! Fangfang's "super" Chanels are around the same price but has better pictures.. but we know Catty's bags always look better IRL! Anyone plan on getting her "super" Chanels?

mm07, thank you so much for posting all those pics, you've got a great collection. Would you say that conditioning your City made the bag darker? It seems darker in pics. I want to condition mine since it is so dry, but i don't want it to turn darker, it's already dark enough. Could you comment on this please

I'm SO conflicted. On the one hand, I think the regular sized Alexa is a little too small for a bag that is styled like an old school bookbag (which I adore, btw)... On the other hand, the oversized Alexa is just too big for me, as far as an everyday bag goes. Dilemma!

I agree, but I prefer the smaller one, it's sooooo cute, the bigger one isn't all that speacial, IMO.

Catty says that the Alexa bag is in production and will be ready in two weeks time. I think more like the end of January but this is fine for me.

MM07- Can you carry the midday comfortably on your shouler?
I have not seen it carried in any other pictures this way, thats why I ask, It looks like more of a hand held or crook of the arm bag to me.
The flash on your camera makes it difficult to see.
Also would you mind taking a photo of it next to a work? would love to see the size comparision. Thanks

bagalicious, I can carry my auth midday over the shoulder, but not comfortably and I am quite small-built to begin with. The work is definitely much more comfortable over the shoulder. I'm not sure about nbf's though! hope it helps

Does it compare in size to the work? I have always shy'ed away as the opening seemed smaller, with the work you can let a handle slip down from your shouler and have a rummage to find what you're looking for.
It would appear with the midday you would have to use both hands to open it and get something out? Didn't seem as practical as the work design, am i wrong?

I have a BL midday from t&D, i do carry it on my shoulders sometimes but it's not very comfortable especially with a coat and everything.

malena- Your ame babies look beautiful! I personally like the 2nd batch of ame better and I got to see it in person and the color definitely seemed to be spot on with whatever pics I saw of authentic ame. I think you're definitely good to go and I thought the leather was fab. This is just my opinion though. Congrats!

The 1st batch indeed looks more saturated but I read that the 2nd batch of leather is close to the authentic. Nevertheless, both of your ame looks gorgeous

I cannot decide which batch is loser to authentic Ame because I've never seen one in real life and we all know how deceiving pics may be. I do know that I prefer the quality of the leather from the 1st batch and I think I captured the colour pretty well in pics. But the 2nd batch seems prettier in my pics than in real life IMO, in real life the leather is drier and the colour darker and more purple. I'm running around all day and haven't had the time to reply to the PMs I received, I promise I will do it today, as soon as I get back home!

bagalicious- I can carry T&D midday comfortably on my shoulder, more comfortably than Work. The handles looks bigger than Work
Malena- I use only LMB to condition my NBF bags, yes they do get darker, but in 1-2 days they look the same, just more soft, not dry and no white dust ( KWIM Amethyst have like like dust)- hope you understand me
I made you pic's- sorry its night here so its hard to see...
So the first pic's is Amethyst City I put LMB 1 hour ago so its still 'wet' and mirror with no conditioner, next pic is the same 'wet' City with LMB and 'dry' Amethyst Work ( I conditioned this Work a week ago)...
So if you are scear to use LMB on your bag try first at the back on mirror and if you like it go brave on the bag
