i would recommend you get a DM. it can pass off as real if you dont show the logo. because with OMAS/Jacky/catty's top bag cant even pass the marking if someone inspect it the logo anyway.
Dm is cheaper and worth ur 300.00

Yeah I think DM is the way to go. I just need to figure out if I'll really wear it to death or not.

As for omas, the quality looks amazing in the pics, stamps/fonts/hw correct vs what is online to compare it to, bag, box correct as is stitching. need to see better pics of inside zip and texture of lining (dead giveaway). His ostrich looks unbelievable-not lumpy like jacky's.

Would I take it to a boutique?? Don't know-haven't seen one (omas) IRL to compare the togo leather to my auth togo piece.

Bagalicious, sorry I thought I answered this already, I use an image editing program after I take the photo. I use Adobe Photoshop but I'm sure there's some free software options for collaging. or even better, a camera that would do it.

You got it from this last batch of black leather, right? How is it possible then Everyone's black bags from these last batches have great leather, I don't understand how can yours be so different? Have you posted pics?

Helens- Very weird. I have a black GGH PT and a black GSH Work from this batch and the leather is exactly the same as each other- matte, thick, and super super soft. Very veiny too. I think it is one of the best leathers I have seen. IMO I like it better than the 07 anthra leather but I still want an 07 ggh

Helens, you may like to try applying conditioner to the bag. There's also something wrong with all the tassels of the Black City. I'm disappointed.

Thanks for the tip! I am waiting on some apple conditioner. It's actually not that thick either. I was swayed by all the talk and jumped in, but I'm disappointed in the leather, too. I actually like my praline better, it doesn't look plasticy. And the tassles! I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. Sighh.

My other issue was on the praline they sent me, one of the front buckles was on the wrong way around. Like it curved UP instead of DOWN, soo obvious. I got my brother to fix it up for me (creative cutting and hardware removal) since it was easier, but the buckle itself isn't completely coloured.

BUT T&D have been great, they offered to take it back, shipping on them, and fix it up for me. I just wanted a new set of buckles though, since my brother can fix it and I won't have to wait soo long for it.

And the flat clutch i ordered didn't come, only told me it didn't pass QC when I emailed them about it. I was really looking forward to that one most tbh.

i just emailed the boys about hopefully getting a new strap.. either a longer one or a real city strap

Hmmm, I love my 07 Anthra GGH Brief and I'm thinking about getting an Anthra 09 RH City instead of the Black RH City I cancelled. I'm so indecisive But I think Anthras look best with GH and RH Cities look best in bright colours. Hmmm, which way to go?

Should i buy a black ggh pt? or a work? or a city? Because I'm selling my black rh city - I'm really all for glitz and glam so the ggh is perfect for me and I really want the gold/black combo. But I'm afraid the black pt would look too similar with my anthra pt - but I the pt size...ugh decisions!!!

arisaa and malena, I know how you feel. I can't decide between which styles to get in black/anthra 07/anthra 09 anymore. I tried making a spreadsheet with all the possible combinations I liked, and then doing pros and cons of each. GAH! I'm thinking way too hard about this, lol.

just realised my praline has black dye spots on it too. I can't remember who asked about this! I guess they weren't stored too well during a few other runs of anthra/black.

Xooey, don't use the marker, it makes a weird blue/black color in the sunlight. Instead, go to your local shoe repair guy. They should sell some leather dye, I use Fieblings, it even comes with a little dauber with a handle. It works great on the unfinished edges.
I'm so sorry to hear about your city. I've been waiting on mine since I prepaid in August. Now I'm afraid that I'm not going to be happy.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I will have to do that. I cannot carry the bag until the flaws of the tassels have been corrected. It is *that* glaring and anyone can see it clearly.

Can you see the white edges along the tassels? This is not a close-up pic and they can be seen quite clearly already.

I checked my black rh city and the tassels are perfect and its completely matte. It's so weird since mine is the latest batch (I only received it a few days ago).

I compared my Black RH City vs the Black GGH FC. While the leather of the RH City is not as thick as the FC, it is not thin either (unlike my Black GGH City, which has wafer-thin leather!). The leather of the RH City is as textured and wrinkled as the FC, except it's a bit shinier than the FC. But as you can see from the photos, the shine has been removed after I'd applied the conditioner. I'm okay with the leather and in fact, I find that I don't even need to break in the bag at all, because it's soft and pillowy.

What really bugs me about the bag is the poor QC of the tassels. At the same time, while taking photos, I noticed one end of the edge of the long strap has not been glued on properly. Once again, I will have to rectify this on my own.

The auth black rh city, that I returned, was really shiny too. As shiny as my t&d anthra pt that just arrived, but thinner and less fab . So if you received a shiny city I don't think you should be worried.

xooey - yikes - did you email T&D about your tassels? I bet they would be happy to send you another set. Did you get any extra tassels with your bag? They usually include some with the RH bags. The leather on your bag looks amazing though, way better than my black Brief.
