Jacky confirmed to me yesterday that he WILL now accept PAYPAL from me!!. I don't know if that's just me or everyone, but I am aware that he has accepted it from few other gals on here. HTH

As for catty's birkin, can you take close up pics of the front HW font style and the heatstamp? I want to see the lining and inner zip, too and compare it to omas-I can't justify a $700+ bag right now, so I may need to 'settle' for catty's (which looks great , by the way).

No, I wouldn't pay $700+ for a rep ... obviously OMAS will have better details (since you're paying for it) but at the end of the day, it's still a rep. If I'm paying over 4 figures for a rep, I would rather save up for the real thing and sell off some of my authentic bags as well.

I was wondering if you guys could comment on CUSTOMS. Are the parcels sent as gift, samples or merchandise? Is the package discreet? I don't care about having to pay tax, I am extremelly paranoid that they will somehow intercept my bag. I recall reading in some other forum that a woman's order was intercepted and she was asked to provide with an invoice of the purchase and warned future deliveries to her would be monitored. Is this true? I live in the UK, by the way.

im not in UK, im in US so i will answer the part that i know

all the sellers will mark it as GIFT with about 20-35.00 value (depends on the seller and size of ur package). most the seller i bought from (ioffer sellers, joy fabaa and Jacky pack their stuff in a box and pack carefully- which you will receive a box. with NBF, they just use bubble wrap and tape around the bag itself so you will have weird shaped packages- lol
i've never been seized before so i dont know the procedure, so cant comment on that. HTH

You got it from this last batch of black leather, right? How is it possible then Everyone's black bags from these last batches have great leather, I don't understand how can yours be so different? Have you posted pics?

i would recommend you get a DM. it can pass off as real if you dont show the logo. because with OMAS/Jacky/catty's top bag cant even pass the marking if someone inspect it the logo anyway.

Helens- Very weird. I have a black GGH PT and a black GSH Work from this batch and the leather is exactly the same as each other- matte, thick, and super super soft. Very veiny too. I think it is one of the best leathers I have seen. IMO I like it better than the 07 anthra leather but I still want an 07 ggh

I've just received my Black RH City from the latest batch too. I was assured it would look like the fab, matte leather of my Black FC. I am sad to say that the Black RH City is shiny, such that a family member commented it looked like plastic. Apple Leather Care conditioner helped to dull the shine. Helens, you may like to try applying conditioner to the bag. There's also something wrong with all the tassels of the Black City. I'm disappointed.

The tassels are thick and puffy, but I'm fine with that. In fact, my Vert D'eau Twiggy has equally puffy tassels. The tassels of my Black RH City look like they've not been dyed properly. The edges of the entire length have uneven white streaks and it's quite obvious against the black. I will take photos and post them here tomorrow.

About the tassels, I'm thinking of using a permanent black ink marker to colour the white edges. Any other suggestions?

Xooey - Mine are like that too on my black Wendy WE. The tassels aint 100% dyed black. The leather is good, in fact for a WE that you wana throw around it's great as it's super thick and sturdy... but is by no means better than my Anthra 07. No siree!

haven't been on here in a while coz I was away and there are just tooooo many pages to catch up on!!!

i just got delivery of a Mulberry Clipper bag from Jacky- which arrived in 4 days AND I could pay with paypal (the fee was similar to WU so why not!)

so I should be over the moon right now- except I am the total opposite I'm GUTTED its so horrible- its actually shiny leather which Mulbery oak shouldn't be- and its smooth instead of being grainy...this was meant to be a really special present which has gone alllll wrong (besides the fact I asked twice for it to be stuffed it wasn't and has all dents in it...)

I don't know what I can do or what I can even say to Jacky coz he wont want to hear it...I wish I could make it look all weathered and not shiny...

I took some pics to give you an idea of what I mean but my camera (phone) is really crap...its against my Elgin I got from Jacky last year which I adore....

the 3rd one is the elgin on the right clipper on the left..hope you can understand what I mean about shiny and non grainy leather on clipper!
even the light reflecting off it shows how shiny it is versus the Elgin! it looks more like PU leather than real leather

anyone got any suggestions?! or any idea presents for the man who is impossible to buy for (and doesnt wear any jewellery!!)...

Sorry to come with such a late response but I have some experience with Jacky's Mulberrys as well.

I once ordered two bayswaters from J. A black and a chocolate. The chocolate was smooth perfectly darwin-grainy leather that was matte but the black was so eeeven and not at all grainy and shiny. Disgusting. But I actually put mink oil conditioner on it in periods while folding it, squeeshing and really treating it badly like driving over it with a car (almost jumping on it) and now it's starting to get darwinish little by little.

So with some work you can really get a nice bag out of it by treating it badly. I'm sure.
