I have just received my 2nd Ame City RH. Here are a couple of comparison pics of the two batches. I have to admit I prefer the leather of the 1st batch.

The 1st batch has really thick and veiny leather, very smooshy. It is much more saturated and brighter than the 2nd batch, more eye-catching.

The new batch is more purple than pink, the leather is very dry and kind of hard. I hope the dryness will disappear after conditioning. Oh, I have to add that I think the colour of the 2nd batch looks A LOT better in pics than in real life.

I wish I could see an authentic Amethyst, I think the pics cannot show the true colour. This way, I cannot tell which one is closer to the authentic.

amethyst_sparkle Your amethyst looks gorgeous! Does the GGH stand out too much? I was thinking of getting a midday in GGH but wasn't sure if the gold clashed with the amethyst color..

Thanks for the comparison shots, MaLena! I see what you mean about the 1st batch being more saturated than the 2nd but I think I still prefer the color of the 2nd. I can't wait to receive mine!

MaLena Thanks for sharing! I see what you mean, but I still like the 2nd. I just received 3 bags last week from T&D and they were dry as well (especially the maldives). I'm hoping that conditioning them will help. From what I read, I think that the second batch is closer to the auth but Idk I haven't seen it in person yet. Here's an auth city from TPF, Idk if you can really compare it through a pic though. Hope that kind of helps (?)

Aloha guys, we just got in from Honolulu yesterday morning ... Hawaii was fun but unfortunately Miss Amethyst didn't arrive in time to come! It seemed lost but finally showed up on tracking again and should be delivered today! *fingers crossed* Love everyone's new bags, everything looks so gorgeous! here are my wallets. im extremely happy with the quality. i've been looking for a good wallet and i think i found it. after seeing this im not even excited to get NBF wallet, and i meant it. i dont want to bring back the story, lol - but catty put an end to prepay and long wait for something.
the wallet is VERY well-made. leather is SOFT- the lock is smooth and secure. this is the perfect wallet for me. i love big, thick and heavy wallet. it is all i want,lol.
the card case is for hubby who want slim credit card case. he also really like it.
also got an LV chain- CUTE- well made too

i cant wait to get the alexa, in this color AND BLACK- will be my first black bag

Thanks very much for sharing your photos of the Mulberry wallet. I love it.
That will be my next purchase from Catty. I saw the Alexa today at the Mulberry store and it was divine. The regular size Alexa is too small for me so I hope that Jacky and Catty make the larger sized one. I would love the leopard print Alexa in the large size. I will post pictures of my Bayswater from Catty at the end of the week when I receive it.

is that the ink alexa u posted there? so they said it's the regular size, i will def. be interested in the larger size too.

Amethyst_sparkle! i ordered Amethyst work from new batch because I liked Bagalicious's work I saw IRL. I have PT from 1st batch. They look totally different in your pics. I am kinda happy they are so different since both of my Amethyst are RH. New rings look good but is gold the same color as before? I am holding my breath waiting for your answer.

luisa i bought covered hardware anthra ponpom. I think its better than most reps out there, but really non compare to T&D. The leather is soft, but there's a plastic sheen to it and it didn't wear off. Even tho i like the look of the bag and how it hangs, I didn't want to wear it much because of the leather. I sold it after. They have some that are lambskin. I THINK the lambskin one doesn't have that platic sheen to it, but I may be wrong. I still would say stick with T&D.

Someone on the thread ordered a balenciaga from another seller on ioffer. I think it was a red shade and it wasn't that bad. I forgot who it is tho.

The leather looks amazing too I need to add that to my list haha~ I may need to get that wallet for my mama, she's been using her auth YSL wallet for 8 years LOL. She kept saying that no leather made now can compare but I'll change her mind with a new catty mulberry wallet ^^
