many of you will not find my posts friendly but i am being honest here. I dont post as often as before anymore(for a reason) but i do jump in here time to time help out newbies or whatever concern someone has that i know the answer.
some members on here-including myself sell bags on ioffer and if i see someone selling something, i will post it on here, regardless i know that person or not. please dont think i have anything to do with the sales i "promoted" before, not at all.
no one PM me and thanked me for letting the girls know about the sale, but when i give my opinion about a sell, turn out im being negative?
what's wrong with me posting what i think about that specific bag on here? someone can say "it's gorgeous" but i cant say "something is wrong?"
that's SAD, really SAD!!! im disappointed!

Baby Yorkie - I too appreciate your knowledge and input to the thread. And I myself have pm'd you about bags many times before, and you have always replied and shared your knowledge with me graciously And i hope this will continue

However, I think there is a certain protocol and etiquette that we all could exercise when members here post there used bags for sale on other web sites.

Hypothetically speaking- lets say someone is selling a magenta colored bag, that some of us know does not really exist in the Authentic Balenciaga color line, do we as other members on TFS give our opinions about it without being asked? And say publicly what would bug us even if we are not even thinking of buying the bag?
is it fair to say nice leather...but the color doesn't exist. Or post....Yeah I love the color but it wasn't made in that style?

Or if an older bag from a certain seller has different hardware to the newer version, do we as members have the right to post that on the thread? After all that's the way the bag was made.
Isn't it up to the interested party buying the bag to do there research ask the person selling it all the questions pertaining to the bag they are interested in? Unless of course they post a picture of a bag and ask publicly for our opinions.

I have seen many bags come and go on ioffer that I personally would not buy for whatever reason, at various prices, with pictures indicating what the bag is and looks like, But I would not publicly analyze the bag on TFS that I knew was another fellow members bag.
I don't really think it's my place to do that.
If someone wants to buy a Blempete bag, thats up to them to decide, not for me to say..."Well i wouldn't buy it as it's not really one or the other" different strokes.

That's my opinion anyway ...As a buyer and seller of used bags, I prefer to ask the seller and be asked by the buyer privately about the purchase.

Collectively we all critique our sellers bags (Jacky,catty ect) and that I feel is a totally different and is always the point of the discussion.

I know we all have different opinions on subjects, and this is mine...no offense to anyone.
I'm a lover not a fighter!
I personally think PM'ing a fellow member with advice is my method of choice if they ask for a my opinion)

Saw some really nice new Vernis wallet on Jacky's site but the cutting looks crooked? Anyone bought Vernis from Catty before? Are her's better than Jacky's?

I emailed Jacky about Vernis luggage... They don't have it as it's too difficult to mail out and pass customs. Anyone here bought LV luggages before?

crystal - that bag is nothing like vert gazon or pommier as coco said. it may be closer to emerald in tone, but emerald was a deeper shade. in theory, it could pass for a faded emerald with serious conditioning and use.

bag - i agree it isn't our place to tell someone, but i prefer to give a gal a headsup. fewer fugly blatantly fake bags running around on people. i have no shame when i say that yes, i do pass my bags off as real. no one but my husband and sister know that some of my bags are fake, even my very close friends. if i wanted a nice bag made of italian leather without a label, i'd hit up j.crew...i don't! some girls come to this forum THINKING they know everything about auth/rep bags. they don't. the advances made in the replica world is insane and there are many, many bags that are exactly like the authentic version. at the end of the day, yes, they're all fake bags, but some can run in certain circles while others cannot.

someone had catty LV luggage a long time ago that looked excellent. i think someone else said theirs (also from catty) didn't last much longer than a year and a handle broke or something. i'd be careful with luggage as baggage handlers are not usually gentle with things. unless i were flying private would i bother with pricey luggage. another seller had LV luggage too...maybe joy? maybe baby_yorkie or someone else who has been here a long time can chime in. i believe i've only seen rep mono/damier luggage, never vernis.

the vernis bags/small goods i've seen from catty and jacky have both been fantastic. i've never owned any, but i've always wanted to. i think we've seen more from catty than jacky over the years, and the quality/look was very consistent. there was a lot of amarante from her when it was popular and everything was very nice.

I just meant that when fellow members post there used bags on ioffer, i don't think it's for us as fellow members of TFS to say publicly what we don't like about the bag, if it's not us buying the bag, why should we comment, thats what I meant Theres detailed pictures of the bags normally disclosing the details, I don't think it's our job to give someone else's bag an autopsy Just my opinion tho...maybe i'm in the minority.

Oh ok. I will check out Catty's LVs. I bought a few Chanels from her and the gold hardware peels just after a while!

I only trust Catty ans Jacky so far. I saw many luggages on iOffer but I'm skeptical. I bought from iOffer and never received my orders twice.

the siren: i would NEVER out anyone's bag unless they ask me to. on theotherforum, im VERY against people who do so, it's not my business. but in the case here, someone brought the listing in this forum and said it's gorgeous. that's her opinion, cool. can i say mine? "something" bug me about that bag. ok, now im aint cool as that sale belong to a TFSer.

Sometimes I just feel that in certain situations where there are consequences, and feelings involved some things are best just left to the people concerned. saying something is gorgeous is a compliment, But saying something bug's you implies to anyone reading that something is not right, and that's what i was upset by
Just like when I see bags that don't exist and someone says they like it, I don't rain on there parade and post...NEVER HAPPENED...or DOSENT EXIST or tell them if i had it would bug me...That's all I'm trying to say, plain and simple.

I know you know your stuff, more than most here, and a lot of us know that NBF used to make there bales and O rings that way, They can easily be replaced with a little DIY. So once again...no harm done, or meant im sure. Peace.

baga, thank you so so so much for trying out the ggh project! I went to a local art store and while I could find the plaid lquid leaf, I couldnt find the Amaco one super sad. Anyways, can you clarify what you meant by 90% amaco and 10% plaid florentine gold? Do you mix them together before applying it or what? Thanks so much!!

/\ the ratio of the 2 colors is 90% gold and 10% florentine gold, and yes i mixed the colors together on a palette before I painted the GH. You need a tiny bit of the florentine as that is the darker more bronze gold...add a teeny bit a time so you get the desired tone.

Ok...So I enhanced my GGH Anthra city this morning, and compared it to my anthra GGH untouched work..pics by me.
It's a subtle 2 shades richer/darker, But i think well worth it.
