I think you ladies will really love this color. It's so saturated! A gorgeous inky cobalt blue... I can't stop staring at it!

I will be taking my Outremer First out this weekend. I didn't bring any small bags or clutches with me to Beijing, so this will be SO handy for clubbing, bar-hopping etc. (btw the nightlife here is AMAZING)

Now I'm really tempted to get an Outremer Day -- I've never really cared for the Day style - but suddenly that combo sounds really appealing to me!!

I am also jonesing for a Velo, but haven't decided on the color yet. I think it will make an excellent bag for school. I stopped using my Black WE cuz I want to give it a rest, so I've been using my Raisin Midday. It holds everything OK, but it's stuffed to the gills. My goal is to break it in as soon as possible!

I think that you would love an Outremer Day. I ordered an Outremer Day
and an Outremer Velo from T&D. I am also getting a Sang City.
I just received my Raisin Day w/RH from T&D and the leather is lovely and pillowy. I also received my Giant Day w/GGh as well as a Raisin City w/RH from T&D. I have three raisin bags and I love them all.

I do wish that the leather was smoother as in authentic bbags. Here is a picture of smooth leather. It is a Papeete day from Spring 2010. Isn't the leather gorgy. This is what the leather on a Bal Bag should look like.

Your outremer First from T&D looks like it has this type of leather. Congrats on an awesome bag.

The leather reminds me of my Black WE from the October 2009 batch. That was my favorite leather - medium thickness and evenly distressed. I have a feeling this leather will break in perfectly to achieve the quintessential smooshy, slouchy B-bag look.

It is not as dry or stiff as my Amy's (batch two) or Raisin bag. IMO, outremer is not dry - but it's not as supple or buttery as the Anthra/Amy July batches.

Congrats beavercall! It looks nice and slightly distressed like the authentic.
I'm going for it!

Alkistis: The leather on the Authentic Alexa which I own is Buffalo leather and it does get softer with use but the leather on my Authentic Alexa is not hard at all. It is soft and beautiful and drapes very easily. I would call it floppy and smooshy like butter. I have had Jacky's Alexa and believe me when I say that the leather on Jacky's Alexa cannot compare to my Authentic Alexa. Jacky's Alexa will soften with use as that is what chicadee said and she has one and is currently using it. I still think that Jacky's Alexa is the way to go if you want a rep in the Alexa style. I plan on getting an Ink Oversized Alexa from Jacky at the end of the month and can better advise what type of leather the bag has when I receive it. As for my Authentic Alexa she is divine and her leather is gorgy.

Some ladies on the other forum have not been happy with the quality of the leather on their bags but others have been amazingly happy with their leather. Generally speaking if the Alexa bag is made in England the leather is superior. If it is made somewhere else the quality can be questionable. In any event I would not compare the leather on an Authentic Alexa to Jacky's Alexa. The leather on my Jacky Alexa was not plasticky at all. I found it to be grainy and good quality for the price. If linefri is not happy with her bag she should send it back and get another.

Please note that my Authentic Mulberry Alexa has exceptional leather and the ladies on the purse forum have noted that I have an exceptional bag (one of the finest that they have seen). I am posting pictures for them as it ages as they want to see it patina and do it's thing.

I have only carried Alexa seven times tops though. I have waaay too many bags. I am getting three new Authentic Bal Bags in the by May so I am done this year for sure.

Thank you ladies for recomending Jacky's Chanel (Chanel Quilted Flap bag 1112 Black lambskin W/Silver)- the leather is gorgeous - so soft not plasticky at all. I took a pic under fulorescent light w/ flash last night, as well as 2 pics w/ natural sun light this morning

The sides of the bag overlap the flap - I am trying to smoosh it into place - this baby needs to be broken in.

The interior matches auth medium Chanel's I have held & examined.

Bag - $85
Feel for less than 5 items - $30
WU fee - $10

I feel it was well worth $125. I picked black, because its the most classic, and I felt safe. Now I am considering roi blue. Previously, in thr #5 thread, someone mentioned that there were flaws to the roi bag......not sure what they were, or if Jacky has addressed. I havent seen a roi auth in person, so dont have a reference to compare them to.

Jacky's is Genuine Snakeskin, Catty's is printed/embossed snakeskin on leather. You'd have to confirm that with her with a quick email, but Jacky is the only seller I've seen with the actual real snakeskin bag, not just printed.
BlairWarner: Congrats on the classic flap. I got the same bag for my mum from Jacky about 4-5 years ago and it has held up incredibly well for a rep. It's quite the steal, isn't it? $2200 Chanel Flap, $125 95% perfect rep......Hmmmmm. (what, no scales of justice smiley?)
Alkistis: I know it's hard, but you (and everyone else) have to remember that you can't compare NBF leather to anything else. Even genuine authentic $2000 Gucci bags don't have leather as nice as T&D. A lot of Mulberry leather is stiff. As coco109 wrote, some of the authentic Mulberry bags had somewhat disappointing leather. T&D is very unique. I looked at a Tod's restyled D bag recently at Holt's and was unimpressed with the leather on that bag. I have a crazy feeling that somehow NBF's leather (depending on the batch) could blow anything made by Hermes right out of the water! *but that's just me.
bagalicious: Congrats. What Antha is that? The first or second batch? My Brief looks closer in colour to the City? you have. Mine is the July batch. That Brief you posted looks a little more grey than blue, but could be the GSH making it look like that.
