need to revive this thread with the email i just got from creatures of comfort. many runway pieces to see in the flesh. I like the quilted ones the best and the basic tie waist dresses have a comfortable ease to them. not crazy about the fringey things though or the patterns.

any takers?

Thank you for posting! Everything is gorgeous but they do push the prices up a lot.
The same happens in London They are stocking Isabel Marant at Liberty , and I saw most of this pieces, I love The "Karate dress" but it's not worth the price, I guess it's better to make a small trip to Paris on the sales period and buy some stuff then.

I did buy this simple dress but mine is Navy.

les sucettes, Im with you...simple is most often best, I have that dress too but in the ss degrade version, its the nicest cotton...delicate and a bit sheer and really nice to the touch.

since I've been a bit obsessed with the quilted shoulder tops I bought this cream version, had to get it, couldnt fight it. B)

I really need to snap some photos of this black silk dress with a drawstring waist that softie picked out for me on a recent shopping jaunt. its kind of a monkish dress, really simple, a straight cut with little snaps in all the right places.

the plaid flannel has its place on days I feel the need for country cozy. :flower:

It's a great dress isn't it?:p

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that quilted top you bought, I saw it in black but this colour is even more beautiful!Great buy!:flower:

Today I tried this dress but in black, and gosh it has the perfect fit, it's funny because it didn't catch my eye and still doesn't in the catwalk, but in reality is really a, thick heavy winter dress, full of details, that "thing" around the waist is actually a detachable belt and it has strings inside, really really nice.

les sucettes where did you try on this dress..i really love it:):) does anyone know where this dress is selling in the united states and its name?

Merci beaucoup.

les sucettes, it seems the fabrics that she used this season are nice and substantial, and the runway pictures must not do the actual items justice because close up you really get the full effect. I also find that her clothing, on the body, fits so well, never binding, and probably the most comfortable clothing (along with lilith) that I have.

would love to see that dress on...please.

reflective, bird in brooklyn might have it or curve in ny and la. I know one of those 3 sent me a picture of it.

i can't find the creatures of comfort site... could anyone send it to me? thank you

Les Sucettes did you get that dress? It looks so beautiful.

Nah, too expensive for me at the moment. It costs something like 335 pounds. If i could i for sure would.

Reflective, I tried it at Liberty, it's a big department store in London.:flower:

Yes i agree, Lucky, the fabrics this season are really something interesting, that's what I like about this dress and those quilted items, the way she worked this substantial fabric into something that is quite fitted and comfortable. Lately it has become so rare this idea real "Winter" clothes without losing any of the beauty that is easier to achieve with "floatier" fabrics, that I'm totally fascinated by this.

I thought I'd post a pick of my new Etoile jacket.

Aby, the coat is fantastic! I am very envious...It's a thick quilted cotton duffle type I think, kind of like the drawstring pants I got with you at Bon Marché...right?

les sucettes and lucky: thank you for the hints on finding the cream belted dress...

Thanks Lucky! :flower:

It's exactly the same kind of material as the pants.

I love your picks too especially the plaid shirt, it looks so cosy!

Is there anywhere online that I could view a good selection of Etoile winter coats and jackets? I only ever see them in magazines, but I want to be able to buy one :flower: I imagine Isabel if anyone should be selling great wool coats, but the selection of IM in Stockholm is ridiculous.

Me wearing my FW08 IM boots and dress.
