I just bought the bart jacket! I will not spend anymore money this month. and all will be well :)... and Lucky thanks for sending me the bird jpegs... everyone looks so great here.

one last thing: dianiboutique is having a 15 percent off sale on coats, and the bart jacket and the coat aby bought are both up there... it seems they have the best prices for IM coats and items that I have found-- just really bad styling :).

juiliet3353, thank you for the tip :flower::flower:...I joined the double dip club and bought the same jacket as Aby but in the green and because you are so awesome I got 15% off.

The Bart jacket is like the perfect pea coat. It's a Beauty!!

my new winter coat. I will wear it without the fur collar though. B)
why is every season I dont think I'll like what IM shows I end up with tons of it? ^_^

thanks... although, just found out I am getting a larger size, they thought they would have the 1 in, but the person who ordered it decided to keep it, so I am taking a 2, I am hoping it fits. ^_^ are the 2's really big? hope not!

Hello everyone, I have been trying to find this coat but with no luck. I've called some of the boutiques listed on her site but none of them ordered this coat. My parents are vacationing in Paris right now so that might be my next option, any suggestions as to where I might be able to find this within the States? Thank you so much.

Your parents could find that jacket at the Printemps. I saw it a few days ago.

Very true, Fuuma. :flower:

Hyped or not, she's really put out some beautiful clothes this fall. I haven't bought anything from her since I was in Paris--was feeling a bit turned off by the inflated prices and the trendy runway shows. But the fabrics in the mainline collection really pulled me in this season. Even the flannels are so lovely and gauzy.

Yes i agree, Lucky, the fabrics this season are really something interesting, that's what I like about this dress and those quilted items, the way she worked this substantial fabric into something that is quite fitted and comfortable.

This is exactly what I like about them. I bought this dress and was concerned that the fabric would make it bulky and unflattering, but it's actually just the opposite. It's soooo soft and comfy and fits like a glove.

laika, its a Fabulous dress...one of those pieces that when you see it in real life it becomes much more obvious how special it is.

hype of no hype I swear she uses a fit model that has exactly my measurements. I dont know another line that consistently fits me so well, especially when there are only 3 sizes. and yes, the seasons can get lots of tedious overlap but at least she's keeps it fresh (so far) with fabric choices.

thanks so much lucky! I saw you got the top--it's just gorgeous in the cream color. And I love that these pieces have pockets! :p

Are you doing a belt with your top? I was surprised that the dress also looks good unbelted--it has a really nice shape to it. B)

I was also considering the laced top with quilted shoulders, which is beautiful on, but I ultimately felt the dress was more versatile.

the thing with isabel is that you can't stop with just one...

I wore it both ways, I like that the waist is shaped enough to maintain the nipped-in waistline but I also wore it with a dark grey nubby wool marni belt that has a bow in the front and hidden hooks in the back, I think its very versatile. what did you do?

the marni belt sounds lovely...would love to see a pic of that! :woot:

Unbelted, I wore it with nubby grey tights and my undercover grey patent wedges...looked kind of spacey. :p

But is it really hype in it's primary market? She's been going strong and steady for a while in France.

......^_^

I saw that dress..it's really special, so beautiful...

I wish they had a lager selection of IM in the UK..

i still think IM is fabulous

I wore my IM dress from her fall/winter '08 collection and got many complements. I love the print and how its sooo comfortable.

love, love, love it.

i just purchased her slouchy suede boots and cant wait to wear them out!

i dont get what all the fuss is about with isabel marant

i much prefer maje or sandro in the overpriced parisian designer category
