I think it's an interesting media study even for those who don't like Twilight.

"Twilight fans" was my euphemism for Twihards, aka those who are still in denial over the breakup of their beloved Robsten.

Also I think we are getting a real insight into how self-absorbed and immature Kristen is, it's cringe-worthy.
That video of her and the director earlier in this thread made me think the attraction for her was that he really flattered her vanity

Personally, I think it speaks volumes about her character. Yes, she's young, but she's also old enough to know right from wrong and she had to consider the thought that she may just get caught, I mean everyone wants to take her picture all the time! From this whole thing she comes off very selfish, very arrogant, and flakey.

I don't even see the age as an excuse. I'm 21 and I wouldn't even think about doing things that she did. I think at her age she should know what is or isn't acceptable. this is all due to her character.

I read in one of those millions reviews that Kristen stewart was doing the decent thing by writing an apology to Liberty. Decent thing? Really. What a joke.

It's also really hard how Kirsten's fans seem to be in such denial, I mean, if they like her so much why not just admit that she commit a mistake, they can support her. They put her on a pedestal, like a saint and know that the image is broken they can't handle the truth.

I mean, with all I have read about the Twihards or Krisbians, for them it's all Rupert's fault : he chased Kristen then he is the one who call the paps...Kristen's fans are sure about that after they saw the last pics

And I think it will be different for Kristen beacaus she has a lot of loyals fans (no want to say blind and crazy) who still believe that all are fake (the pics and her statement) and for them she never cheated...Or if she did it it was because of Rupert Sanders

I can tell that I like Kristen but since I saw the news pics yesterday I try to think that maybe be it will be better for Robert Pattinson that he find another girl...A nice one...

Releasing an official statement saying she loves, loves him is just so right.

Because we know Robert wanted to go public and she not. So she made the step he wanted her to go. Unfortunately the reason why she gone public is quite bad (i mean because of her "fling").

I feel so bad for Robert because I live in Cannes and during the last festival all we could hear about was how proud of her he was and how supportive, and there were tons of photos of them kissing. You could really see that he was in love with her.
Can't believe she was already cheating at this time. This is crazy. I liked her before, and I thought they were really cute together and seemed to be on the same "vibe". But I guess that once a cheater, always a cheater.

"Nice guy"? In my humble opinion, nice 40-plus year old guys with wives and two children don't cheat with 22 year old girls from work.

That said, I agree that 41, relatively speaking, is not at all "old," but there is, none the less, a rather large age gap between Rupert and Kristen - basically 2 generations. He'd've been out of high school before she was even born.

I also agree that he can look quite handsome. And often these cheating types are very "charming" so they can have "likeable" personalities. But still, it's just a little too creepsterish to me. I just can't see him as a "nice guy" in light of these circumstances.

With "nice guy" I obviously meant likeable, charming, good sense of humour etc. Of course cheating on your wife is a horrible thing to do and not "nice" at all...but that doesn't mean you can't fall for a guy like that

I understand what you mean, and I agree, that in "normal" circumstances this guy would not be a downgrade. I'm actually quite surprised the net didn't exploded with Pattinson is the sexiest man on earth and you cheated with an old codger. It's not that they do not say it at all but if this was a couple of years ago it would have been very different. It doesn't bode well for Pattinson, his looks are still his bread and butter.

Wow,she looks gorgeous in those wedding pics. I think definitely "time" changes a relationship and makes it more complex: it can deepen it, but people can also grow apart. Children can make it tough for a couple to stay close because things get so much busier. It sounds like Liberty and Rupert have had some tough times, based on articles and quotes posted here, but it also sounded like they'd come through it. Who knows though? They are strangers to all of us (I assume).

judging by his loose behavior in these pics, that article that has Liberty's quotes and then his father's interview on top of it all, i somehow have a hunch this isn't first time his eye wandered, but that's just me.

What I find so bizarre in this whole affair is its "publicness" (is this actually a word lol). I mean Kristen and Rob have carried on the persona that their private life is "not subject to discussion"; and yet since this story broke out, we've been bombarded with article after article. Okay what I'm trying to get at is the sudden publicness of Kris and Rob's relationship. The only person who is staying true to form in all of this is Rob.

If you have ever been at least near a cheating situation like this, you know that a public statement like that, at that time it´s just more gasoline to the fire. For Rob because I can imagine him thinking..."If you love me sooooo much and respect me soooo much....what in heavens were you doing frolicking with the guy...."
And for Liberty also. The public statement is a joke at this moment. Only silence, discretion and concrete, sustained and coherent signs of remorse could ever make me think that a person that did something wrong is really repenting. Just SAYING the words is not enough, and it just looks desperate and for the audience.

You genuinely believe that Rupert would do that to his wife and kids purely for PR? I don't think you properly thought that theory through. This isn't the kind of PR that will benefit anybody. This is just lust that they thought they could get away with. I actually think the way Kristen reacted and made a statement was the opposite of what her PR team would have wanted. I think she knows she messed up and is genuinely feeling like a piece of s*** about it. Her desperate statement ignores all of her usual privacy rules and she knows that.

I didnt mean everything was fake about this story. Its just parts of it just doesnt make any sense to me. RP being heartbroken, moving out and her statement. Everything seems to be about poor robe... Dont get me wrong nobody deserves this to happen to them. But the angle seems to be: kristen homewrecker and rob the victim. Meanwhile there is two kids envolved!!

Twitter is bursting with comments that Kristen is stupid for cheating on him. Rob's not coming off bad at all and it looks as though the media is getting harsher on Kristen. Many of the late night talk shows mocked her for this and the newspapers are ripping her a new one. It's a shame that she's the more famous than the director because the his actions have more consequences.
