I think the difference between the Brangelina thing and this is that there were no kids involved (Aniston had no kids). Second of all, there's this huge age difference which makes it a scandal... People always love to gossip about "Lolitas" with elder men...
And third of all, I don't think people were too surprised that Angelina "stole" Brad - as she was known as a seductress/vampy-ish woman, whereas Kristen - although not the smiley Hollywood type - did not come off as very cunning or the sex vamp... I think these factors make this story even more "scandalous" and surprising.

Not only this but that Rupert guy is no Brad Pitt. Angelina and Brad were a couple a lot of people wanted to see together. They were perfect, so sexy together. For a lot of people it was a match made in heaven, a little like the Craig/Weisz pairing.
And the Kristen and Rupert liaison won't end up with a ton of super cute kids.
That's why I disagree with the people who say that this scandal won't hurt her career.

^ Yes, there are many differences between the two scandals. And definitely agree that that "Lolita" factor makes this one even more flammable in the media. I was only trying to suggest that in both cases, the woman who cheated with the married man was the more vilified of two, even though neither of the women (Angelina, Kristen) were married (as were/are Brad, Rupert).

[jomarlushka - just looked up Julia Roberts' scandal - not only was her husband married, but she had been dating Bratt for a couple of years, so it has that similarity with this one: both were cheating.]

people were easy to forgive Kristen for also cheating on her previous b/f with Rob, just because they all wanted her and Rob to be together. she gets a lot of sh*t now because they were a very famous and (by the twihards at least) beloved couple

well, ok, it's difficult to "prove" that type of stuff so i see your point. for me personally there are just too many pictures that indicate it that i see it as proof, but yeah, nothing you could present in court as evidence

dude, even with all these pics the fandom keeps insisting it's all fake and photoshopped. based on that logic, she wasn't even with michael.

Not Plain Jane - not only did julia paid off danny's wife, she wore certain shirts that were pointed at that woman that were beyond disgusting and until his wife signed those papers there were rumors that julia pulled every single string to get her fired from jobs she landed and in the end destroyed her career as a makeup artist for movies. danny's role in all of this was to hide while this was happening (even his parents were standing behind his then wife).

i personally think that, from studio's perspective, kristen will be no less of a player. the thing with twilight fandom is that they don't see movies that aren't twilight. they're crazy when it comes to these two, but it doesn't make them go see their other movies. "rob's part" of the fandom has some success to an extend in pulling them in, but when it comes to kristen? nah, she's just bella to their edward and nothing more. all of her movies, except SWATH (which had 80 mil.budget just for promotion mind you), were in limited releases and didn't even get back the money invested (and we're talking about mostly small movies). this might only bring another "layer", possibly "sexy, fatal" to her general image and i'm not sure that it will necessarily be destructing one.

if rob found out on monday before everything broke out, he might've moved out back then in complete silence. kristen's camp is probably the one that leaked the info to people.

^^maybe he moved out the day before the story broke? if the house is his then he doesn´t have to complety move out, he could pack a bag and move somewhere else for a few days.

I agree with Daj, I think he moved out the Monday but just temporary to get away from it and hide out. It's his house but I can imagine right now it's pap central there.

^I agree - I would assume that neither Rob nor Kristen are hiding at that house atm knowing that they would be watched 24/7! She could be at her parents' house maybe and he might be with friends or at a hotel...who knows but I am sure that all the world interested in gossip wants to know!

I find it very interesting that they keep trying to find proof that the pics are fake but they don´t say anything about their apologies... I guess by the time either Rob or Kristen do promo they will be no other choice but to believe it...
