Here are my personal turn ons and turn offs, some are pretty universal and some are much more me-specific (you can probably tell which are which):

ON:
-Tightish straight legged pants in black or dark greyish blue, this is for taller/thinner guys, the look is sort of "spidery/waifish" legs
-Well-fitting shirts that show off the fact that your chest is built!
-Any excuse to take off/open that shirt and show off your abs is completely believeable to me :)
- Black, dark brown, grey, dark red, dark blue, dark green
- Stripes
- Formal black jacket
- Formal dark dress shirts (stripes are great here)
- Punk/Goth accessories (understated)
- Black Eyeliner (no other makeup, maybe gloss)
- Chunky black shoes or boots
- Messenger bags
- Wood or leather jewlerry
- Matte leather
- Cashmire sweater
- Pea coat or other classic in suede or wool
- Spiked hair

OFF
- "bling bling"
- Gold jewlerry, Gemstones
- Patent/fancy leather
- Lipstick
- Mullets, Rat-tails
- Pleated pants
- White sweat socks
- Loose pants (esp. Baggy Jeans)
- Bright or light colored jeans
- Hip hop or gangster clothing or accessories
- Offensive t-shirts
- Bright colors (except on black guys)
- Loud shirts
- Shirts that are much, much too big
- Baggy shorts
- Thong sandles
- Basketball shoes
- Ties, suspenders or belts worn without sarcasm
- Baseball caps

The idea is to avoid "redneck", "thug" or "old geezer" looks

PS the age range I am thinking about here is 15-30

I don't know, it might have been pointing to a pic of a woman when you looked at it. It's a link to a webshop and when the item is sold out they put other things on the same page, soo it points to the wrong sweater now.

Love It:
- Fitted sweaters, especially ribbed ones
- Turtlenecks
- V-necks
- Polos, especially black and sky blue ones
- Small print patterns
- Button downs/formal shirts worn with jeans
- Cargo pants
- Leather strings worn as bracelets
- Kind of undone, long-ish hair
- Blazers and suits
- Beanie hats
- Crisp white cotton button downs worn in summer with sleeves rolled up and a few buttons undone at the neck :p

Don't Like:
- Tees that have stupid sayings on it (just as I don't like tees for girls with stupid sayings on it)
- Sneakers that make you look like a wannabe Globetrotter
- Basketball shorts and wife beaters worn outside a gym
- Backward hats
- Jeans so baggy you have to pull them up every 5 seconds so not to expose your bum
- Shirts with pit stains (ewwwwww)
- How NSYNC dressed. Didn't one of them wear a paint splattered jeans and denim jacket combo? :yuk:

This is a big NO, but you know... kudos for making me laugh!

I love a man in a black turtleneck sweater, jeans and glasses! And I love corduroys and nice shoes are a must.

A nice sleek suit in Black or Heather Gray with square to shoes. Top it off with a natural fro, dreads or a bald head for Black guys and for white guys a nice shaggy cut. Dark thick rimmed glasses are always welcomed =0)

Re: the comments about Diesel-ish jeans being attractive...

(The following is just my opinion, im not saying its gospel) I dunno, I used to look at Italian brands as the epitome of a relaxed, yet sophisticated form of casual cool....like I used to idolize Giorgio Armani, but then this summer I went to look at the Armani Jeans/Emporio Armani stuff and a lot of it looks like it's not very tasteful, the jeans had pretty tacky treatments with whiskering/overdye/fading details that just seemed kind of off and the fabric wasn't the best denim either considering they're quite expensive. The t-shirts were decent quality, but the abundance of logo-ing done in a very obvious manner was, as I judged from a lot of mainland Chinese tourists fawning over the stuff, just pure commercialism. And wasn't really the subtle, slinky Armani stuff I remembered from my youth. I guess what I'm getting at is I kinda see the same goin on in brands like Energie/Diesel too (i mention these two because they seem to be the most prominent Italian casual wear brands nowadays), I used to like Diesel a lot back in 97, when I was in the 8th grade...and the stuff then didn't seem so over the top, even if something had a logo, and was before the mass market hype of overpriced designer denim. I see a lotta dudes on campus rock Diesel jeans and the washes/cuts are nothing to write home about, some guy in discussion is always wearing these Diesel orange overdyes and they look kinda nasty. The same applies for D&G/Dolce & Gabbana, another house I used to dream about owning clothes from. Well, I've been ranting for some time now as it's almost 2 AM, but my final point I guess is nowadays for relaxed clothes I'd want to wear off-duty I look more to the French and Japanese, it seems the production of these places is crafted with a more meticulous and discerning eye.

blah, i'm not even a girl or into guys why did i just type all that. i need to get some sleep...

I love the way my boyfriend dresses with tight tight jeans, dress shirts or tshirts that are short enough to see some midriff. I thinks its really sexy when guys show some skin especially if they are super scrawny skinny. I also really like guys who wear pink but I completly hate guys who wear those shirts that say thinks like "tough guys wear pink" that totally ruins everything, but I do like when guys wear shirts that say things like "my boyfriend is out of town" I find that rockersexual thing completly hot. I also love a guy who wears nailpolish and makeup such as eyeliner, eyeshadow and lipstick. A guy in red lipstick is fabulous!...I really think the most important thing is to dress for your body type, personality, stay away from trends and don't be cocky. Also dress for your age because I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 22 by the time hes 30 he will need a style change.

Totally with you on the guy-midiff stuff tangible. I don't really know why that trend doesn't come around to the guys more often. If you are working on those abs so carefully then why are you not showing them off men!! :)

Although I will restate that I am not for the lipstick. I dunno. It is crossing the line into "too femme" for me (as you can see I walk quite a grey one, I guess my line is that I want them to look like feminine guys but NOT like masculine girls! I want to know that's a boy!)

I agree. I find makeup of any kind including nail polish to be a big turnoff. I don't even like seeing guys made up for stage productions or TV. Just ick. Skincare is fine, just stop before adding color or shine to skin or nails.
