^^Alber was so personable and so nice! I was so glad I skipped school to meet him! He was encouraging of my goal to be a fashion designer. He even said (I doubt in extreme seriousness, though!) to, after I go to college to stop by the Lanvin office!

What I mean by (almost) everything being done in ribbon...it looks like this-

Basically, instead of using regular fabric, the layers of ribbon create the fabric.

Well, I imagine he was sincere ... and it's not like it's right around the corner, you'd have to take some initiative to get yourself to Paris I'm planning a trip there myself, and believe me when I say the Lanvin store is on my list of places to go

This HAS TO BE the best collection this fall yet. I love everything about this collection, and since I'm a huge fan of bows, I love how he created dresses, tops, and jackets made out of layers of ribbon. It's so sophisticated and not too sweet. Love it.

I love this but its a little predictable.

Nothing can beat Fall 2006 imo.

Also, many of the pieces are pieces that have been re-worked from Fall 2007 and Fall 2006. The black suits, the boots, the black jackets with fur - its all been done before!!

I wish he would do something innovative like Spring 2007...now that was a good collection!

I don't think that outfits in post #331 should be compared, as the coat from FW 07 had an emphasis on the shoulders, what was the point of the whole collection. Same goes with dresses in #333, the red one was made a bit more different on the back. I personally don't find it repetitive, it's rather following his own path of beautiful and feminine clothes
