Lanvin S/S 10 Paris

The embellishments are impeccable.

Well, Lanvin's not really meant to be for your every day wear really. It is still totally functional, just for a different thing. It's not trying to pass itself off as something you can pop to get a tin of beans in..
i guess so.. even looking at the rest of the fashion weeks it seems like the clothes are designed more for one thing.. a dinner, party etc ...

but i've always felt or thought Lanvin was about more than that, or at least several seasons/years ago.. it was a woman, an elegance, an ease. not about a specific kind of dress or certain type of outing/event.. i remember a lot of simpler shirts and dresses from them in earlier seasons, that you could wear in many places

hahaha salvatore i love your quote. KAREN ELSON, PLEASE STOP BLOCKING MY VIEW ;( tfs needs to get rid of those intrusive h&m ads...

OK these ads have become a bit Aggravating! They freeze my computer for seconds at a time!
I'm so in LOVE with the House of Lanvin... Alber works his magic again...It is the same recipe but most designers stick to the same recipe he did venture out a lil with the jumpsuits... The Jewelry is Out of this World.....The high Street ( BeBe, Express, Forever 21) is going to have a Field day copying these pieces!
Did Mia Aminata walk this show? i havn't seen any pics of her... She was discovered by Alber so I'm wondering why he hasn't cast her in like 2 or 3 seasons.. She's been on a Helluva rise this season and she would have been DIVINE in this show!

There are no words!! I like how he keep recycling his ideas and improving it. Polishing it to perfections and never looses the Lanvin identity!

not as good as last season i think and nothing here is new here for alber, but it's still very lanvin and there are some very desirable pieces.
although i hate the beaded(?) jumpsuit

I really really love all the vibrant coloured pieces. They're just so impossible to hate, so enjoyable!:D Although I have to agree with everyone saying Alber is doing the same old thing again and again. I think he still has the skill and spirit to keep it up for a little bit more, but sooner or later he's gonna need a new idea, or else Lanvin will go the way of Dior...

Awfulicious!!!And you say that you like it a lot.Truly boring and ugly...And for you this Albert is a genius...That must be a joke...

Alber always amazes me with the lights at his shows. Everything becomes more baroque when he does it. Those colors! Blue especially! This collection is not a totally new idea, but somehow it looks like that. Don't know how the master does it..

The beginning is awful indeed.. it brings to mind all the words I rarely associate Lanvin with: trendy and very corny.
It gets better by the middle, and then lands abruptly again by the end.. what were once humorous accents in his collections have now become the center and emphasis of them.. I don't really see the Lanvin woman as much of an attention-seeker but it all changes, I guess..

I effing LOVE it. Again, it's nothing new in concept, but it feels new...and that's really the most important thing. The color palette is stunning. I'm thrilled that he didn't take the predictable spring/summer route and do either intense brights or soft pastels. The shots of color he used fall somewhere in between, and look incredibly rich.

I really like that this is kind of the polar opposite of last season's restraint and sophistication, and yet the eccentric, somewhat twisted take on glamour and femininity is coming from exactly the same place.

There are a couple of the poofy-shoulder dresses that aren't really working for me, but aside from those this collection is absolutely beautiful. One of my favourites so far this season.

One of the most impressive of S/S 10 so far...the black dresses don't do much for me although the silhouette is lovely. The multi-layered dresses at the end could've been disasterous but work so well!

I love everything in this collection!
The embellished pieces are too die for!
Dior disappointed, but Lanvin never disappoints!:D

At first it was lackluster but thank god for the embellished pieces. The ending looks are gorgeous. Especially the embellished pieces and the dresses with the high slits.

the colors are great but this collection is stale , and those horrible jumpsuits need to be burned. That being said Lavins S/S 2008 was amazing , this collection is nothing on that.
