Hmm, they are definitely easier to pull off for than leather pants, but still most people would have to be careful what they wear them with to avoid giving the wrong vibe.
I'll say for a versatile piece, it should probably be in black/dark brown, probably knee length. somewhat like the skirt above but minus the embellishments.
I'm not really a fan of the embellishments on that skirt. I guess because it's a leather skirt, I'd keep it simple - black, fitted, pencil-ish, above the knee or mini.
What shoes, other than boots maybe, would go well with leather skirts?
Personally I prefer suede skirts ... I find leather to be a bit iffy. My sister was once told she looked "high dollar" when wearing a leather skirt ... that is just exactly the look I'm not going for ...
I have one from BCBG but for some reason I've never had it on, it was an impulse buy, I just can't convince myself.Like fashionista-ta I'm more into suede as well.
I dont mind mini leather skirts if they're worn with stockings and appropriate shoes but you have to be very stylish to pull it off without looking like a lady of the night.. I do like the one shown though
Yes I now am the proud owner of a couple of leather skirts. In the colder weather I think they really work well. In summer they are still ok but you got to be careful not to get too hot.
Love them! Especially to rock the London style, I would wear my pencil mini with a sheer black shirt tucked in but still keep it pubk with studded accessories. If I was feeling v casual it would be a white t shirt with a slogan on and flats...
Leather garments for femmes usually says to me "bad girl" look, especially in black. I haven't had any hate of any leather bottoms. That includes leather pants, leather jeans, and the aforementioned leather skirts. So if leather's your thing and you want to wear a leather skirt, I have no problem with them.
