pictures don't work with me these days.
so I'll try writing a bit of what they did for this spring.
a few little things that might be difficult to see in pics.
all along down the grain line of the fabric, they applied either
short slit by laser
or unraveled spot by hand with a needle
the line of short laser cuts may look like hand stitches.
this should function as ventilation as well.
meanwhile, about the other line, I like it best when it's done in a sleeve, back, etc of a shirt made of dressy fabric. the line of little weft loops is fantastic there.
in some way it's like reptilian dorsal fins/prickles or dragon's mane and such.
but what makes it even more fantasic is the three-dimentional checkered pattern around the fine loop, which is created by picking a thread and delicately drawing a bit to make the loop.
it's as if it gets scaled around the line.
all is subtle and beautiful.
although normally these things are supposed to be flaws, like from scratched on on some sharp point, I think they managed to convert them into function or embellishment, without unscrupulousness.
and all of this is consistent with their long-underlying theme of "metamorfosi strutturali".
that is, they are also meant to be there for helping the garment transform in accordance with the wearer's characteristics.
