Luminous, Glowy and Healthy Skin

Instead of or in addition to the water, you can also use honey, aloe vera or a few drops of your toner for the aspirin mask. :flower:

the aspirin mask is really great, I highly recommend it.

on another note, I've noticed that my skin looks better the less I wash it :innocent:

Does anybody else not notice a difference in their skin depending on their diet, sleep habits, and appliance of lotion, etc.? My skin always seems to look the same... it's clear, but not glowing or anything...

oh i have another tip, DONT use a towel.

air dry your face.^_^

But what about when its dripping with water? What then?
It makes sense though, no towel germs touching you. I will try it.

I either wash with a face cloth and then at the end, squeeze out all the water from it and just blot the moisture off my face with it.
If I haven't got the face cloth, I use a few tissues or some toilet paper to get most of the water that's dripping off my skin.

Half the time I think it's psychological. I buy a fancy new lotion or something and it smells great and has all these promises so for the first few uses I walk around feeling like a million bucks. I'm not ever sure if it has an actual effect though!
But once I used a serum and it really did do something magical. I could feel it in the texture of my skin and a lot of my friends kept telling me that my skin looked perfect. But after a few weeks the initial effect was not as huge which was disappointing!

I do the same! I never have dried my face after cleansing it because I'm on to the next product, either toning or exfoliating. I usually have piles of wet crumpled up toilet paper all over my vanity from drying my hands and arms on them, since I make a mess when cleansing and using the water.

You should pat your face dry with different face cloths. They sell packs them at places like Linens & Things. Using a different cloth prevents dirt from accumulating on the towel and transferring back onto your face. Not drying your face can be an inconvenience.

Not an inconvenience if you're applying more product afterwards. I'm sure my routine at my vanity would seem psychotic to people but I'm just OCD. ^_^ I only use a towel once for drying my hands before throwing it back in the wash....I do a lot of laundry. B) Even "clean" towels not used and hanging on a rack for days at a time are bacteria-ridden.

Has anyone ever tried lemon juice for hyperpigmentation?
yes, when I was younger. at first it got worse but after a few weeks/months (sorry, I don't remember anymore) it helped.
I wouldn't recommend using lemon juice if you have very sensitive skin because it might irritate your skin.

Ok I have been not drying my face with a towel, and I used an asprin mask. My skin is super smooth today and maybe a little bit less spotty and more glowy, but I may be imagining it!

that great deborah!

i used it yesterday and my skin looked great. no oilies whatsoever!:D

I started drying my face with tissues (toilet paper :P) instead of towels yesterday, but haven't noticed a change yet. And I need to get some aspirin asap. My skin looked so much better when I did that mask regularly and I actually have no idea why I stopped..

can i just i wouldnt suggest toilet paper.

no matter how smooth or luxurious your toilet paper is its still made from wood. It can do some damage to your skin if you dont rub.

Plus it the small tid bits of it can get clog your pores...
