Luminous, Glowy and Healthy Skin

I swear that my Khiel's Creme d'Elegance Repairateur has cleared up my skin and it makes it so soft and glowy!

OMG it is funny you mention Aloe Vera the Ida, because my best friend is forever telling me about this CSM girl whose parents have made her drink (well a few spoons of) Aloe Vera every day. She wont stop because her skin is perfect. I wonder if it would have been perfect otherwise

I eat well, I exercise 5 times a week, I drink a ton of water...

my skin still isn't luminous or glowing. In fact, I'm having issues with breakouts at the moment. :( I think its simply genetics.

What kind of glycolic acid are you using? And what is the time to see the improvement?
Err it doesn't have a brand I bought it from a chemist :innocent:but I'm sure they're all about the same. I'd say you could see a little bit of improvement after a week or two, it's a really slow gradual peel. I'd start with 20-30% and gradually move up the percentage if you want. Your skin'll look fresher after a week or two though, but I don't think I saw much improvement on my scars for at least a month. Oh well, at least glycolic peels don't have a downtime!

There's also the stress/hormonal factor to take into account...the most elusive of them all. :(

I have an aloe plant at home but it's got smaller leaves...about 1 1/2 inches wide...I'm not sure if it's aloe VERA or some other variety and if it will work as well???

ive been eating more raw foods for the past week and my skin has improved trremednouslyh! ITS glowing, skin tone is evened out and soft and supple. i've been incorporated as many raw vegetables and fruits (the less sugary and acidic ones) as possible...[/quot

Amorousluna, if you are still about, could you tell me what raw vegies you eat? I've been trying to do the raw food thing myself, but aside from carrots and mushrooms and beans i don't know what tastes decent raw.

drinking silica is doing wonders for my skin atm - i've been doing this for about 3 weeks now

^^ josephine, what exactly is silica and where can i find it? :) I tried to google it but it came up with all sorts of weird companies.. haha thanks!

I eat an all raw diet, and don't include any of those foods you mentioned. What do you mean you eat beans raw? Do you sprout them? That is the only way you could eat them raw. There are so many delicious raw food meals you can make, you will be amazed once you get started.
Here are some articles and some sites that are very useful...

Luminous, healthy skin comes from the inside out. A cream will not give you optimal results.

B-vitamin ! I quess I didn't have it enough..I started taking 30 days cure 3 days ago and my skin is a lot better.I also take Omega capsels cause I don't eat fish. They really have helped my skin !

Also - I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil as a night cream and this has helped too. And litres of water and sun cream..and lots of sleep !

I'm so happy now ^_^

soozq, i used a product called original silicea (by hubner) from the health food store. it was really easy to find and their website lists a whole lot of retailers so you can choose one closest to you. (this is in australia, but you could run a search for "silica supplement" in your country)

I use ½ tsp apple cider vinegar mixed with 1 tsp water and use it as a toner before I go to bed. In the morning my skin looks more even ( cause the redness here and there is gone ) and I have a nice glow!
It smells a bit but its worth it ^_^

thanks lara! ;-)
and golden butterfly that sounds weird but i'm gonna try it! ;-)

apple cider vinegar --> i have been drinking this stuff for the past week n i think its good .. i mixed it with whatever i drink .. fruit juice or anything thats liquid i just pour in a few drops. i yet to try it on my skin .. yeh the smells does get to you. silica --> i have tried this too .. it does help .. the reason i'm taking its for my hair not so much for my skin but i do see the difference but you have to take it on a regularly basic .. i was currently taking the tablets ...

I must try that apple cider vinegar thing, thanks for the tip.

I`ve bought great Dr Hauschka moisturiser couple of weeks ago.. and its GREAT...! :)
My skin loves it and shines along with comming spring ;)

I use apple cider vinegar for a toner, along with baking soda w/ water as an exfoliater and various other recipes for masks that I got from an acne forum..even though I don't have horrible acne, just red marks left over from ever single little pimple I've ever gotten.. I just use it topically though, do you think it'll make a difference if I mix it w/ juice or water and have some every day? And how much ACV should I drink then?

I've been wondering about all these "skin tone enhancer" lotions, there are ads all over the place, they aren't self tanners, but I'm not sure exactly what they do..like Loreal Sublime Glow, I know that Olay Quench has one as well.

what kind of skin do you have? i find them greasy sometimes also. so instead i use the normalizing oil. it's for a combination/oily skin. i don't have oily skin, more a normal/combination. i find the normalizing oil sinks right into my skin and leaves my skin fresh and healthy looking. i have quite a few friends who love this product also. i also really love the cleansing cream.
