Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

Oh Theres :ninja: Is it possible it's just an incorrect translation or something, any native speakers?

^ Nope.

"idag har jag inte bara åkt tunnelbana för första gången utan även blivit utskälld av en kolsvart n****rgirl...det tyckte dock negern som gick bakom mig, och detta ville hon väldigt gärna dela med sig av genom att skrika det högsta hon kunde o vifta med kniven...."

= "today i haven't just used the metro for the first time but also been yelled at by at pitchblack n*grogirl... that's at least what the n*gger behind me thought, and she really wanted to share this with everybody by yelling the loudest she could and wave the knife..."

No need for that, Karma will take care of everything lol. I'd appreciate a written apology though at the very least.

^ I agree with you, no need for us to waste energy on the matter, or spread bad karma of our own.

I am sure her agency is very happy with her, she seems to turn on the charm with people that "matter", posing and smiling for street photographers, etc. but unfortunately her blog has consistently shown us that her beauty is not skin deep. People will see through her, they don't need her writing to do it, her true nature will reveal itself.

Wow, what a stupid little racist. My love for her just disappeared. Well, best of luck to her career... or lack thereof soon enough.

I feel extremely pitiful for her soul, heart and brains - or better, for the lack of those things. I hope the fashion industry realizes that she is a heartless person, and therefore make her pay for the things she said. Sooner or later, she has to grow up.

Yeah that's what gets me, isn't she like 19 or 20? She's definitely not a child, she should know better.

Okay, I'm probably the only one thinking this, but isn't this getting a little blown up? I mean, writing to her agencies to get her dropped? Now that is what sounds ridiculous to me. From the translation that I read I just get the feeling that she was just extremely scared from what had happened to her. The blog entry was probably written in the heat of the moment and I'm positive she's not racist at all. We shouldn't make judgements this severe and calling her a b*tch before we actually know the girl personally. I'm sure if the person who waved a knife at her were white she would have said something insulting about them as well (which of course doesn't make it any better).

Believe me, I'm not trying to defend her, but this was just getting blown a little bit out of proportion in my opinion.

I agree that this is getting a bit blown up but there is no excuse for using that word...I understand your argument though.

^^I wouldn't be so sure about that. If she really was sorry about what she wrote, I'd think she would have already written an apology post clearing herself up, and deleted the post, instead of password blocking her blog and keeping her mouth shut...She's around 20 right now, so I think she knew exactly what she wrote - just comes to prove that age is just a number.

You have a point, but then again, she's still only 20, away from her family and friends, judged and watched her every move by us, and on top of that the constant criticism she is exposed to AND the stress from Fashion Week. I think what happened to her was just the last drop and she lashed out. *edited*

Oh please, she enjoys the fame, sharing what she is up to. What castings she did and always posting pictures of herself. She's not judged and watched, she obtrudes herself it almost hurts. She wanted us to read this not thinking of the consequences. How dumb you can be? Everyone knows that racist comments are nothing admireable or funny.

I know that the word is or was used a lot and I don't insist that she meant it too seriously but she said it and an apology is very much needed however I agree that mailing her agencies and wishing her to end is a little too much. I'm just offended by her stupidity really.

ermm I'm 18 and I knew not to use that word when I was 10...only 20 is not an excuse! No one is forcing her to be a model, and the only one benefitting from it is her. She's not doing a public service by being a model and even that is not demanded of her. However it is expected from most functional members of society to be accepting and not antisocial, her thoughts and frame of mind are clearly lacking and prejudicial, maybe it's conditioning from her environment, but by now she's old enough not to use those words. To say her comments aren't offensive or racist is regressive and offensive to minorities. I don't want her to be punished but she should be aware that they way she is behaving is insensitive and wrong, and more than anything else will result in ramifications for herself rather than anyone else.

Yup, her age is not an excuse. I'm from a third world country and is only 17 and I know that you can never use that word in public.

What she wrote on her blog was stupid, no doubt about that. But aren't you people being quite judgmental about her without knowing her as well? I don't think it's any better to judge a young woman by one line in her internet-blog than judging anyone by their skin color. It's both unneccessary and immature, IMO. Leave the girl alone, I find it quite hypocritical to think hating on her for saying the n-word is OK yet she has no right to insult a person who scared the sh*t out of her?

Okay, lots of posts to reply to :)

I disagree that you say she's not judge nor watched, if she wasn't judged or watched we wouldn't be having this argument right now. And no one is forcing you to read her blog. I have never read her blog to this day and probably never will since she password protected it. Racist comments are definitely not admireable but I didn't say that. I just said that I understand where she's coming from because I've been in her situation many times. Being threatened by not necessarily a black person but any person with a knife really clouds your judgement.

Yes, but between age and maturity is a huge difference. I'm 16 and I've never called anyone a "Racist b*tch" without knowing what really happened. I never said her comments aren't racist, so please don't put any words in my mouth. Racism isn't something that shouldn't be taken lightly, and she must've known that there would be consequences, but she is not the cruel monster that she's made out to be in this thread. I just felt for her.

^If she was a doctor, nurse, office employee, etc she would lose her job. Also if someone is racist, and acts like a b*tch, yes you can call them a racist b*tch without knowing them. I don't know Mel Gibson personally but I think we'd agree he is racist and largely unpleasant. She hardly needs sympathy from any of us. Models in general are not sympathetic figures. She's not even from war torn country or third world country, that she might be someone who didn't have schooling growing up, she's from Sweden for Gods sake. The argument from the beginning is that she is in the public eye and she should know better.

That's just the impression you get from her, so no, I still don't think you are allowed to call her a racist b*tch. All I see is a flamboyant girl who obviously didn't pick out her words careful enough, but be the bigger person and don't do the same.
