Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

eeek! let's not even start to compare kate upton to kate moss!

Just read this. It's an interview with Alex Goddard, a photog/director as I can gather. Haven't read the whole interview yet, but this jumpeds out.

Alex recalls his recent job with Swedish model Marloes Horst for Seafolly: "She was just a b*tch- and you can quote me on that", he laughs of her temper tantrums ***EDIT***

Uh, but then he goes on to say he hates the beach so spent the week getting drunk, and for another job had "needless to say" 5 nervous breakdowns from the pressure - which makes him look like a tool to me. I think people complaining about colleagues or people they have to work with in interviews or on titter or whatever are actually very unprofesional themselves.

How unprofessional of him to speak of her like this in an interview. What might Marloes have done to him to be called that on an interview?

yeah, i've never thought of Marloes as a b+tch....he seems to be unsure of himself anyway, strange. I'm curious about that too

Jessica Stam’s Response to ‘Haute Mess’ Controversy: ‘I Don’t Know…Whatever.’

Along with Andrej Pejic, Irina Shayk and Kate Upton, new face of Cover Girl Jessica Stam walked the red carpet at the Jeffrey Fashion Cares event last night. We knew she dyed her hair brown, but it really is such a striking difference that we almost didn’t recognize her. “Katie Grand wanted me to do it for a project that hasn’t come out yet,” Stam explained. “I don’t know if I can talk about it yet. [It’s a] modeling art project.”

Interesting, but what we really want to talk about is the recent controversial Vogue Italia (oh, Vogue Italia) spread, presciently titled “Haute Mess”. Along with Stam, Karen Elson, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Lindsey Wixson, Daphne Groeneveld, Guinevere van Seenus and Coco Rocha all appear in, uh, over-the-top get-ups and statement makeup that some critics have deemed an uncomfortable generalization or racially offensive. So obviously we had to ask Stam for her first hand opinion on the matter. And then it got kind of awkward.

Fashionista: So, the Vogue Italia spread, what do you think of the whole fall out of the “Haute Mess”?
Jessica Stam: Of the what?
Fashionista: Of the “Haute Mess” —
Stam: Yeah, what do I think about the reaction to it?
Fashionista: People’s reactions to it.
Stam: What’s my reaction to it? It was a fun story. It was fun to shoot, I mean… (nervous laugh).
Fashionista: How do you feel about other people’s reaction to it, like the controversy…?
Stam: I don’t know — I don’t know what people’s reactions have been to it.
Fashionista: Um, some people said it was racially offensive (Stam: “Oh really?”) or stereotyping, negative generalizations…
Stam: I don’t know, the pictures, like the references were pulled off of websites and pretty exact to these…references, so I don’t know. I mean, it’s all in fun and people get…(mumble, mumble) I don’t know …whatever.

^ What has the concept of an editorial got to do with the models? What kind of response did they expect to get from her? It's just a bit ridiculous of them to ask her that way, really.
She's not good at dealing with that, either

^ What has the concept of an editorial got to do with the models?

You're joking, right? So a model should pose for any editorial no matter how offensive the subject matter?

I do believe they caught her off guard, but man she sounds like an idiot  How did she not know why it was offensive? And her defense of it was even more pathetic.

That interview sounds like Jessica Stam just wanted to avoid all the controversy and act crazy!

^ Same video embed :)

She just sounds very distracted and tired, I'm not the biggest Jessica fan, but we al have bad days,
plus the interviewer's lack of experience to make this fluid it's noticeable, she was trying to make this
less awkward by smiling. But just my opinion ;)

^ You said it.
She has always come across as quite 'flaky' to me, she just isn't very eloquent.....which in her line of work doesn't really matter I suppose, but there is the odd time when you will be asked questions on camera, and it would be better to not come off sounding so dumb/distracted.

hmm i dont know. i seem Jessica really nice,n funny n trying to give a good interview.
the reporter in the other hand. those question,i mean WTF. he is the one who did make a good interview IMO. Jessica was smiling, answering everything he ask(even tough those questions :ninja:)
