Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

This is not the first time I read something like that about her (or about Odette), and I'm quite disappointed because they seemed like the coolest at first!

Because the same user posted extremely biased info about them before, who seems to have a personal vendetta against the Pavlova girls lol.

As for that hf confession instapost, where did they get that awfully translated quote from? And even if it is her quote, she clearly meant some other girls or staff she has to work this.

And her answer wasn't rude, just realistic.

^ lol. I actually used to like them back in 2015. They were cool. I've seen every single live video on Periscope cause I was such a fan.

If you think her answer was "realistic" it's fine. But she could answer with "in seven years I see myself..." There's no need to say "see you never".

She talked about clients and assistants in this insta post. I've seen that in Russian too. But I wasn't the one who send it to HFconfess.

Not to call Lia a liar, but in my personal experience I've actually found people very accommodating to those coming from countries with controversial state of affairs (think Turkey, China, Russia, the US, any country from the Middle Eastern belt etc etc). In fact, they are more likely to throw out a testing comment just to figure out whether the person agrees or disagrees with their country's policies. That's in the real world, of course, it may be a completely different ballgame in a room where every other model is your opposition. We're essentially talking about an industry dominated by the likes of Ondria Hardin - not sure they're very skilled in the art of conversation.

I also think maybe when you translate the cheeky response in Russian, it may not sound all that cheeky?

I don't see the malice in the response, either. She's just saying she doesn't think she'll be a model in 7 years.

I know a model who was HUGE in the 80s. Everyone on this forum would know her name.
She said the industry totally changed when it became filled with money and models. Obviously it was always exploitative but this complete abuse of models came in the 90s and the flood of cheap white females from the end of the USSR.

i know you've not said who this person is for a reason, but my first thought was Paulina Porizkova? She's so down to earth and funny and i could imagine her being this honest. It would be so interesting to ask more models from that era about the industry. i feel like 80s models did and saw everything!

In the design industry Ralph Lauren would put on fake interviews so that recruiting agencies would send their best candidates to their interviews. Once the interview start, Ralph Lauren designers would take pictures of your portfolio. Ralph HR would send you to have interviews with all of their divisions in the company so that everyone would have a dip of your work FOR FREE. Then they would ask you to design a project, aka a small collection as a pitch to get the position. When the project is done they would either ask you for a copy or take pictures and you never hear from them again. This is a common practice that Ralph Lauren continues to employ. Why pay when you can put on fake interviews and get ideas for free.

^ wow! source?

Maybe OP is the source? It sounds appalling, of course, but I doubt whether this thread is the right place for it.

If true, why does RL go through such song and dance to steal ideas off anyone though? They've been doing the same trite for decades. So they're clearly not putting it to good use.

Shouldn't this be in Designer Behaviour?

Pretty standard in Australia for a 19 year old. If you gotta go you gotta go!

While knowing that the paps are stalking you?

Seriously, just make her Made in Chelsea reality star and get it over with.

Modeling clique wars? SO I went thru Teddy's insta and it appears she has a little gang, Kiki, Marte, Julie, Harleith, anyway not sure if they were just at a party together or actually all friends but looks like Lexi, Binx, Anna, and Mica got some competition! I find it funny tho, wasn't Teddy talking mad ish about Lexi a while back, and then they just had a ad come out together. Would had LOVED to been on that set...

I don't think there is that much drama. Teddy did say she doesn't like Lexi, but Teddy is very fond of Hanne Gaby and Anna and Mica doesn't seem to be the type to have drama with anyone. The 'Wang squad' are a bit older and from a 'different generation' of models so it is natural for people to be in groups based on who they do the most shows with.

If you log on to Google and type in "Mat Gordon model", you'd find an article that's a shoe-in for this thread.

The whole article fits here. :o Wow. The ad still runs here in Portugal, can't believe this. :(

Frida comes across as such a jerk in that article! He's just a model, there are loads of others to replace him with, no need to blacklist the bloke.

I remember Matt Gordon from back then, he looks so different now :o
