lol at her "message from Naomi" video but in interview format featuring an obscured interviewer's suggestive questions..
Isn't Tom Ford in the list, too?
probably erring on stupidity here
(let me stay naive please
) but I have my doubts on whether
everyone in that black book was actively involved. When it comes to some of these people that just open doors and bring an enormous amount of opportunities and contacts, everyone around them
is complicit to some degree but also kind of like.. moths. You see this in every field to varying degrees.. there's always someone that seems to be perpetually followed by horrible rumors and actual sightings of sketchy nature (drug trade/consumption, bribery, sexual harassment, corruption, misusing funds, leaking information, you name it). Bringing them to justice is hardly an option but most people won't even stay away because they're getting something out of that relationship.. so they will downplay that person's reputation, excuse it (
"doesn't play by the book!") or simply swear by oblivion until the end. You even see that on tFS (to use this microcosm as an example).. with the right amount of luxury and status offering, a designer will get a pass regardless of
known behavior. What am I saying? I don't think moral complicity is quite as horrible as the actual crime. I doubt everyone there was aware of his involvement in child-trafficking (just like not everyone working in diplomacy was involved in the major networks dismantled a few years ago).. but certainly lured by the heights he reached by doing that and willing to overlook the red flags.
That being said, unless she's an idiot and completely illiterate, I think Naomi was aware.. it isn't just one accidental encounter with large-scale criminal activity for her. I have always heard about her temper but didn't know much about her until I ended up watching some videos during quarantine.. where at some point she always wants whoever she's 'interviewing' to agree
'nothing like those days, right?'. That and the odious
"do not compare yourself to me!" video that everyone recycles and applauds like 'yas queen!'.. it says quite a bit on her character, her sense of privilege, arrogance and how untouchable she thinks she is. With that sense of self and the idea that you're in a special group that can get away with so much because it's the most powerful of the powerful or richest of the rich, criminality only stops looking like naughtiness when it's publicly condemned..
