Well, I never dreamed of being a model, I just fell into it, and my driving force is in fact the money but it doesn't mean we're not passionate about what we do. It's not just a full time job, you have to invest your entire present life into it in order to make something of it. There's a gargantuan amount of dedication that goes into it as a lifestyle that most people on the outside looking in don't register when they only see the pictures and interviews. Such dedication does require an enormous and constant amount of passion even if it's not for fame or the sake of making art.
In the industry if you're asked "why did you become a model" (by someone who isn't a reporter) and you answer for any reason besides money, people will just ... at you. You wont be taken seriously and they'll say "oh boyyy..." because anything else is considered naive. When people dream of becoming models they only dream about what they see and the glamorous lives they envision. For the models who did in fact dream of being models before hand, reality definitely slaps them in the face that it's nothing like what they had previously imagined it to be like. In reality, the only truly glamorous part of modeling is in fact the money. So then, what's unfair about modeling for the money?

I'm not saying modeling for the money is unfair... I mean, no one works because they think its fun, people work to make money. And there are many models out there whom I'm sure are dedicated and passionate, I'm just pointing out something that I think is a bit sad, is all. But like I said, you can say that about any profession and its really just a fact of life.
