^ Couldn't agree more, LOVED that cast. Absolutely 100% seamless. Missed Zuzanna and Maria who walked last season but other than that it was absolutely fantastic. Diversity was on point as well.

Yeah she's having a disapointing run so far. Ford messed up when they let her walk as underage, this should had been her very first season. Let's see how Europe will welcome her.
Ondria walked as an underage girl the same season and it seems not to have harmed her career at all. I don't know what the issue is with Thairine. Maybe her look just isn't in this season. Seems like she's having the same problem as Marikka Juhrer--pretty just isn't doing it this season.
Things didn't turn out well for Valerija Sestic after her underage first season. It would have been great to see Thairine booking all the top shows since there's been so much buzz about her. Maybe the platinum would have helped, but I like the red.
Personally, I think Thairine may have modeled too much in Brazil. While she's not been in the NYC market much, she isn't entirely unknown among the fashion crowd here. She seems to be all over Brazilian fashion mags and campaigns and in the digital age, her face isn't as fresh as it could be to designers as a result. At the same time, she's obviously not a tried and true fashion veteran, she's someone in between. Not new enough to be interesting for fashionistas, but not a known commodity that the fashionistas will go back to again and again.
Had she stayed in school and just done the occasional gig in Brazil, I think she would have stood a better chance of blowing up in NYC now that she's of age.
But of course she's still very young and if Next manages her correctly and she decides to make an honest go of it in NYC, she could still make it big here.
Ondria had the support of stylists, photographers, editors etc. I don't think Thairine had the same kind of backing, although I'm not sure since I haven't been following her career since she debuted.
Well she got V cover with Carine and VI cover & Anna Sui campaign with Meisel. But as woemwoem she kinda hid here in Brazil so that made her lose steam with the international clients. I'm waiting to see how she does in Europe since it will be her first time and the post-fw editorial/campaign landscape (where she truly shines).
I see. Was she ever an exclusive?
Who casts/styles Diesel?
They had a powerful cast with some of the Wang exclusives.
