Model Casting F/W 14.15

Aww no way! Karl, how could you! But seriously, the casting this season has been incredibly depressing.
I feel the same. To me, in terms of model casting, 90% of the major designers shows have been very disappointing. I'm sick of seeing certain plain, unattractive models at every single show, even if they don't suit the collection at all.
I hope the next season will be better...

I was quite happy with Maartje opening Valentino, she's the quintessential Valentino girl IMO. So stunning.

However, two models of color and one Asian model? out of 71 looks?

Appalling.

EXCLUSIVE: A First Look at Louis Vuitton

The wait is almost over. Tomorrow at 10 a.m. Paris time, Nicolas Ghesquière will unveil his debut collection for Louis Vuitton, the most anticipated show of this, or perhaps any, season. Despite the speculation that has swirled around town all week, the house has managed to keep a tight lid on what to expect. Here then, direct from Louis Vuitton headquarters on the rue du Pont Neuf, is your first hint of the shape of things to come. The enigmatic image of the model Rianne, shot by Juergen Teller and poised somewhere on the knife edge of innocence and chic, probably raises more questions than it answers, but let the guessing begin. And be sure to tune in tomorrow at 10 a.m. CET (4 a.m. EST) for our full coverage of the show, including more exclusive behind-the-scenes photographs by Teller.

This is a funny thought but maybe they are counting Argentineans (Carla and Sabrina) and Brazillians (Waleska, Thairine, Larissa, Amanda etc) as latinas and women of color. Lol

Karol Santos debuted at Valentin Yudashkin?! An exclusive that fell through, maybe?

Interesting preview for LV. I wonder if Kirstin and Juliane will be at the show.

Rianne is stunning, I wonder if more of the Paparazzi girl will be there there?

^ Dorota and Ann  My exceptions for this show is so high I need to relax a little, I don't want too disappointed lol.

Kendall at Chanel affirms her as the next Cara. I don't hate her though. She's 5'10 and pretty. I just don't think she worked hard to book those shows -like Cara-.

I'm not totally positive, I think time will tell... Yes, Marc Jacobs and Givenchy and Chanel have a lot of cache, but they're only three shows. Cara was booking shows left and right and racking up campaigns before she became Cara, and a lot of it had to do with her wild personality that earned the adulation of prepubescent tumblr addicts everywhere. Chanel casting is basically commercial and predictable these days (Karl casts Cara because Cara gets attention and therefore sells the brand). I don't know. I think Kendall could become the next Cara, but I think it's still way, way too early to tell based on the three shows this season.

Kendall doesn't have to be the next Cara. As long as her family (or Kim at least) remains relevant, the industry will eat her up, heck they already are. This is the start- a ripple, then a tidal wave.

Kendall's social media presence FAR exceeds Cara's.
