Model Casting F/W 14.15

Was expecting much more diversity in the Tom Ford show and the cast was underwhelming but I thought Sabrina Ioffreda was perfect opening the show!

Although it's nice to see Iris and Karen at Tom Ford, the casting was really random.

For every Karen Elson/Liberty Ross/Iris Strubegger, there is always an Esther Heesch/Lida Fox/Zlata Mangafic, isn't there?

Tom Ford's cast gets more and more underwhelming by the season.

The odd top girl, a smattering of icons and then randomers like Lida Fox ≠ a cutting-edge/glam/stunning cast. Looks like Giles won this season by a long shot.

gilles?? wha??? that show was a bad YSL rip off cast. at least hedi street casts. i think kane nailed it as the best show casting.

So far Katie Grand is the sole supporter for Kendall, just like she is for Georgia and Sky for that matter. Ugh I hate her and her casts.

Giles was the London equivalent of Saint Laurent Menswear. Just awfully awkward to watch.
Tom Ford wasn't any better. Definitely random.

But hey, when was the last time London wasn't a snoozefest?

The only thing I liked about Tom Ford was Iris Strubegger making a random return. Other than that, the cast seemed awkwardly put together.

it seems as though the only brand that can do a successful street casting with such a wide range and mix is Kevin Amato, who casts for Hood by Air. Everyone else's looks so forced

Yeah, I totally agree, Giles was just wrong in every sense of the word.

I would say Carla. I feel as though Esther is slowing down this season.

Carla for sure, she has a great show list so far. Esther is definitely slowing down, and thank God for that.

Does anyone else get annoyed by this trend? ....I'm so sick of this "daughter of"/ "sister of" trend

I think Saint Laurent's casting is quite convincing too. The people they "street cast" are mostly musicians so it definelly fits Hedi's aesthetic.
