What a boring season. Gemma and Lara at Prada is the only exciting thing so far.

true. the only thing i care for now is that Audrey Nurit will be one of the top newcomers this season.

-Alexandra Elisabeth
-Audrey Nurit
-Dylan Xue
-Elena Peter
-Emely Montero
-Lina Berg
-Phillipa Hemphrey (if she does well in Paris)
-Rianne van Rompaey (assuming she shows up at LV)
-Sabina Lobova
-Sora Choi

I would add Carolin Loosen as a bonus newcomer, kind of like what Juju Ivanyuk was back in 2010. She's been grinding for a couple of seasons, but she's finally happening right now.

At least she walked Cavalli, but she did lose some shows this season like Pucci. I think she's so damn gorgeous and has a distinct face that is recognizable compared to the abundance of girls that honestly look the same. She has a bit of Emina Cunmulaj in her, tbh
As for Grace Mahary, I was initially worried she wasn't booking anything, but she posted on Instagram that she's been MIA due to some project she's working so that was a relief.

Though Kendall Jenner might be swapped for Morta Kontrimaite or Roxy Kiscinska, depending on how media wants to play it.

I don't get why Kendall would get it but they seem to get everything. She only walked 4 ny shows including repeating MJ, no Wang or Ck, skipped London, 5 shows in Milan but no Prada and no opening or closing anything and will repeat last season with Chanel, Balmain And Givenchy. Hardly a big improvement to warrant top newcomer.

Waleska and Iana are both Top Newcomers of the last season (AW 2014) and Irina got the title 2 years ago (S/S 2013), but why not Mina this year

Can someone tell me what does a casting director do actually? I know an agency go through hundreds, thousands, of girls to find the next catwalker du jour but in the end who decides who gets hired? Do they option the designers like 200 girls, and the final say of the 50 who walk comes from the brand? Or is it both? Or the brands leaves it up to the casting director to fill the show with whoever he/she see fit. And who decides who closes, who opens?

The reason I asked is because, from many model's thread I've been, when a model gets hired, people credit the director (Marsh' girls, Ashley Brokaw's girls, etc etc) but when she's not hired, people get angry at the designers. So what is the process really? It sounds very interesting to me. Can someone explain to me how the machine works?
