More Drama On "The View" Today

Sandra Bernhard is one of my fav gay icons, and Rosie is definitely one of my least fav (I know that sounds like a post for a different thread), but just out of curiosity what did Rosie have to say about Elizabeth?
Rosie was saying that she respects Elisabeth, her parents are both hippies and she leans to the right, but that she can't wait to get on the show and tell her how wrong she is.

I never liked her when she started off on the View. My opinion about her is this: she doesn`t accept or respect anyone elses point of view on topics like the morning after pill, the war, and so on.....she`s a raunch republican, and I can`t stand anyone who think that their views are the best just because they belonged to some political and moral `organizations/parties.`

She`s boring....and she`s better off being the host for `STYLE FOR LESS` on the Style network!!

ditto. anyone who's as a hardcore believer as that, democrat or republican, does not deserve respect they mostly clamor for for their opinions. politics is disgusting enough, having people like her takes it to a whole other level. i understand that it's her opinion and people should respect that. what irks me the most is that she's so arrogant and the delivery of her opinions definitely reflects that. rosie being added to that show will probably make it worse. they should each learn to look at both sides. better yet, observe and try to understand them. anyway, this issue seems to be so trivial (further established by that pretentious couch cuddle). just my opnion.:flower:

Personally, I don't think Plan B should be widely available and should only be available in emergencies (cases of r*pe, condom breaking, etc.) The reason why I think the morning after pill shouldn't be widely available is because many people can be using it as their standart form of birth control.

In Canada (were Plan B is widely available), all someone has to do is walk in to an ER or go up to a pharamist and ask for the pill, and they don't have to give their name. Some people might take advantage of it and use it as their primary birth control - when they should be using other form of birth controls.

I think one of the reason why Plan B is widely available here in Canada, is because by the time someone gets into seeing a doctor too much time has passed for the pill to be effective. (bit of a joke, for thoughs who don't understand in Canada - especially Ontario - has a long wait for anything medical)

In theory, The View was supposed to be a show that captured different opinions of women across various age groups and backgrounds. Ideally, all women were supposed to listen to one another and be open to what the others had to say...whether they agreed or disagreed with each other.

An ideal situation like this is hard to create because people have passion about certain world issues...even stupid trivial issues, such as whether Britney Spears dressed too trampy during the Matt Lauer interview. Passion is good and believing in a cause and standing up for it is as well. However, The View is a morning talk show. I think that if Elisabeth disagrees with something then fine. Go ahead and say it. That's your right as a View co-host and more importantly, as an American. It keeps the show interesting adn gets back to what the show is supposed to do-- throw different perspectives into the mix. But if she really wants to make a difference and win and argument and show us how passionate she is then she should take her talk to the streets-- get involved in protests, with Congress, educate people. This goes for everyone on the show.

What good would it be to convince Joy Behar not to have an abortion? She's in menopause anyway! Most of the people watching the show just want to be entertained while they drink their morning coffee. I think Elisabeth would have a lot more impact if she did the real fighting on her own time with people who can actually change things.

^Elisabeth has actually spoken at the Rebuplican National Convention (about breast cancer awareness, I believe)... though I am not defending her. hee hee.

She was fine to state her "view"... where she went wrong (in imo) was to bring up the whole "if people want the government to stay out of their business, then why are they for universal health care?". It had nothing to do with her pro-life statements and was just more of a pro-republican statement.

^ good point there...however she's flat out lazy.....she rather b*tch and
gripe about stuff. Just like most majority of people in America. People are
too lazy. People can't even cook their own dinners at home, instead they drive through the drive through at their nearest McDonalds for a meal.
or have dinner delivered to them at home....too damn lazy!

I don't see the correlation between being against Plan B and being a lazy American who goes to McDonalds too much...? And bitching and griping is pretty much what The View seems to be based on
