If it's an homage, Target should have made a reference to the original designer... I find that rather fishy.

It's hard to enjoy the cheapy ones P&J designed for Target after seeing these beauties you just posted.

I picked up four shirts- -the navy blue shirt with the buttoned sleeve that was just posted, the grey owl t-shirt, a black tank top with silver clips on the sleeves, and the peach shirt with the paisley pattern and lace sleeves.

I like this collection much better than the previous two. Any idea when I should check for new items? How often do they roll out new items from the collection?

Madhuri: it seems that Target releases new items on Sundays mainly, so check the website then! I think they break up the GO International collections into 2-3 groups of items, so they should be listing a bunch more items next month (fingers crossed). I constantly check, though, so whenever I see new items, I'll post here about them.

Lila: I agree they should have mentioned Lea Stein regarding those designs. If you check that website where I got the pics, there are many colors and designs for sale there if you're interested in taking a peek. There are more animals than those 3, (I personally find the Scottie dog very cute), and people, too.

But I also find it very strange that there is no reference to Lea Stein! I wonder what would happen if somebody would post this as a comment on the Target page where you can comment on the products... I'm rather sure they would remove it...

Finally got a chance to stop by my local Target to check out Paul & Joe!

First off, I was really happy to see that unlike the previous two deisgners, I didn't need to go up two sizes to get a proper fit! Hooray! Also, P&J seems a lot more friendly to those with larger chests than the previous two GO collections...

My Target had a lot of each item in stock, except for the Pintuck Poppy Print woven top (the blouse with ebony & ivory flower print with tuxedo detailing)-- there was only one left. I tried it on, and true to reviews on the Target website, the puffy sleeves, and "short and stubby" cut didn't do much for my figure-- more "linebacker" than "Parisian chic."

I did pick up the colourblock green/gray sweater, though! The green is more kelly than mint, as has been reported. I was bummed about the 95% cotton, 5% cashmere blend, because that equals hand-washing. Sophie's using a lot more sophisticated materials which means better quality and better fit, but more hand-washing and dry-cleaning... can't decide if this is a benefit or a shortcoming??

I spotted some of the more wanted items (the kimono dress in black, the ruffle leather jacket...) but no yellow wool blazer! I hope it comes out soon!

I got the silk crinkled georgette blouse in blue that's not available online yet. It's so nice! It's the top shown in look 21 here:

I also got the turtle pin bc it was even cuter in person, couldn't resist!
I'll have to go back to that store, maybe tomorrow, to look at the stuff better. I felt bad with my husband standing there waiting while I looked at things, so I didn't look as long as I wanted to. They had many things, though! I was really hopin for the owl bag, but no luck.

funny that they ripped off the animal designs because i noticed that delias.com had a sweater identical to the short sleeved sweaters p&j has last fall. hmmm. usmarinewife: i really want that top you posted above! can you post a pic of it if you get the chance?

Ok. I posted the same comment for all 3 brooches on the Target site, under the Rrose Selavy pen name.
Let's see how long they will stay up there.

In any event, I also emailed a few Lea Stein connaisseuses (found their emails on their own websites dedicated to Lea Stein) to ask them if there is a strict copyright on the designs or if Paul&Joe could have purchased some rights.

I'm usually not a trouble maker but things like this drive me nuts. Had Target released these brooches as part of their regular line, I would have thought "wow, cool, nice stuff for a fraction of the cost!". But the fact that these have Sophie Albou's name slapped onto them is not the same thing.

Oh, goodness...I just saw your comments, Lila! I was about to leave a good one for the turtle pin I got last night. When I saw the turtle pin in person, I couldn't resist...it was too cute. I'll be interested to know what the Lea Stein fans reply to you.

I'll try to post a photo of that crinkled georgette blouse today. It depends what my son is up to! I'm going to go back to that Target this morning to take a better look at what they have. It looks like there will be a plaid owl coin purse coming out, as well. The coin purse is adorable! I'll post what I buy/find when I get back later.

Woohoo! Back from Target. There is a tax free weekend of shopping going on here in the DFW area for back to school shopping, so I got all my items tax free - bonus! I got another silk top that's not yet listed online, it's the silk crinkled georgette wrap blouse in pink wallpaper print. The only thing is, it doesn't come with a cami sewn in underneath like the dolman sleeve top does, so I'll have to use my own. But this is the shirt I'm talking about, in look 22(target.com)

I'd love to get those navy herringbone slacks to complete the look!
I also got the green wallpaper print silk cami and tap shorts (I think I'll wear these as sleepwear), and the black cotton apron cami. I didn't care for the studded hobos at all in person - disappointing! The ivory one looks more grayish to me. I'd much rather buy the sweater bag that hasn't been released yet - it looks fantastic in the large photo I downloaded of it! I also was happy to find some brown moccasins with a bow similar to those shown in the model photos. They'll be comfy for Fall.

i'm also disappointed by the studded hobo - I was expecting faux leather, and the canvas just doesn't look that great

Hey guys... sorry I didn't get the pictures up yesterday, been busy packing.
But anyway, here's a picture of the blouse, I'm wearing a white cami underneath because it's a bit sheer. I originally wanted a nude/beige colored cami but couldn't find one! (Ignore the shorts, I usually wear dark jeans with this.)

sorry about the late reply, but yes you can fit a credit card in the coin purse. here are some pics of a target card inside (i had to return some shoes, but the size is the same as the credit card) hope it helps!!!

clickmekate: The coin purse does look like it will hold credit cards...I picked it up at the store today and opened it (it has a plum colored lining), but didn't pull out my cards to see for sure. I have one coming in the mail. When I get mine, or go to the store next (whichever comes first), I'll actually try to put my cards in it to make sure for you. The crinkled silk wrap blouse is wonderful! It has 3 small fabric buttons on the left side. It's very sheer, so it needs a cami underneath. I was expecting it to have one inside like the dolman sleeve top bc it is pictured with one in Look 22, but it doesn't have it! So I may have to buy one of the camis to go underneath. I'll try to take pics of the 2 tops I got that aren't online yet.

I found 2 new shirts at a different Target: a lime green L/S waffle shirt with an owl on the front, and a black L/S waffle shirt with a turtle on the front. And the dolman sleeve silk top also comes in blue wallpaper print (I prefer that color).
