Personal must-haves for F/W 07.08

This is kinda what i mean.. (but in black) but this is last season, miu miu has done better than this... I love to wear it with just a grey American Apparel t-shirt. So simple.

softgrey I like the skit with the buttons that Laika posted best.....the button front skirts always get me..... cord is ok but ends up looking shagged out really quickly esp. if you are sitting on it....well maybe its ok and depends on the quality of the cord.

that is adorable just_me!

thanks for posting...I  this thread.

Or a black tee--like this. I love the simplicity of this.

I love that laika... thank you. there were a lot of skirts at Zara I saw a black brocade one.. with a pleat in the front it was amazing!

Skirts are quite youthful and seem so fresh now... with a tan bag my look would be complete! :D

.

lucky
and i can't wear a sweater dress...i did that a lot in the 80's...but i don;t like it with all my current curves....makes me self conscious...:ninja:...

that's funny, that is what I like about the sweater dress. it hides many faults and is a bit of a no-brainer throw on. a cocoon B)

and soft, the yohji sweater just came today and it is a keeper. thank you :flower: what did you do with the blanket pin it comes with? laika, I totally think it will work even if its large, its just that kind of sweater.

I like the skirt with the buttons down the front as well. these are neat also. I am not a fan of Marni this season but for some reason the skirts do it for me. the last is a Prada skirt I can vouch for as fitting curves and making a waist look like there is one....

all of you are totally inspiring me. keep it coming.

That's great about the sweater! Mine just shipped today and after I heard softgrey's description, I'm sure it will fit fine. B)
The prada skirt is adorable, I love the pleat.

Toast has put up some winter stuff, including a perfect black skirt and some lovely patent flats.

lucky- i will post a pic in secret shopaholics of where the pin on the yohji swtr is supposed to go...

laika- that toast by post skirt is pretty awesome and so is that miu miu skirt just me....the miu miu is pretty much what i am thinking about...
it's so perfect!- i;m jealous!

i think that ideally i would like that isabel marant skirt...but it's so hard to find i.marant in the US...any ideas?
...

*helena- you are so right about corduroy...everything just sticks to it and it looks like a rag...but apc seems to do it all the time and people buy it>..?...also- laika says it's not a mini....and i thought it was...so now i am not so keen after all......

i want a mini...that's the thing...

lucky- you are so funny....
the last is a Prada skirt I can vouch for as fitting curves and making a waist look like there is one....
i have no problem making it look like i have a waist...
what i usually try to do is make it look like i don't have one...
*hence the potato sack yohji swtr......

different motivation there....
so it's funny that we often end up with the same pieces...
:P

I agree soft that skirt would have been perfect if it was short, I am quite sure the high street will have lots of good alternatives this autumn.

I want a tan cropped leather jacket, any idea where I can get one?

soft - I'm also looking for a mini skirt, more specifically a black wool mini skirt. I can't find one anywhere argghh

*short brown leather gloves, because I've lost my old ones
*navy beret
*navy or military green parka
*multicolored over-sized sequined t with 3/4 length sleeves.
*And something yummy yummy either a bag or a pair of shoes which I have yet to discover :ninja:

Rather short list...

laika, those flats are really cute!

muxu, I wouldnt invest in lanvin flats. I have a pair and they are very comfertable and great, but so not worth the $400-$500. The soles wear out, the leather gets scratches and nicks and they just fall apart. After just one summer mine are on their last leg. All my ballet flats since then have been $50 pairs and you can barley tell.

Softgrey I don't know if this is your style but you were talking abot a mock croc bag, and if someone else is looking for it miu miu has one this season:

http://www.nitrolicious.com/blog/

I'm drawn to the brown one but not sure as mock croc can often look cheap.

My list ATM

large leather bag for school
black suede knee boots
straight leg jeans
chunky knit sweater dress
chunky knit sweater
black leather ankle boots
long scarves
long gloves
dropped crotch pants

thanks just me......
i was thinking more along the lines of the YSL...
but i am not crazy about the shape of the ysl...
i also prefer bags that go over the shoulder...

not sure about a tan lthr jkt...
my fave lther jkts these days do tend to be rick owens...i don't even pay attention to any others...:P
but i'll keep an eye out in case i see one...
