Personal must-haves for F/W 07.08

muti, those boots had me hooked when I first saw them, but pratically speaking, I would only buy them at a discount because of the fact that they are so severe a statement.

I have the tall equestrian version of the ann d. boots that you have guys have (more the height of the marni's) and I wear them with skirts, dresses and over pants. they have this neat strap that buckles at the top. I find her boots very versatile and I have super skinny legs thanks to my dad.

laika, indefatigable or insane, sometimes I waiver...
I like that black nap skirt very much. shorter skirts have made an impact this season, and with heavy tights and any version of a boot it makes a nice look.

I have that same issues..^. I want to gear down the buying frenzy, but I am always afraid that it won't be there if I do decide I would like to have it. is it really so bad to return...they make it so easy with minimal fees. it kills me though to see something I paid full price for marked down.

I am much more consceintous when it is for store credit only. also, if I buy overseas it always seems to work out for me.

I found the thread for this, I think...it's here. Hoping for some suggestions. :flower:

oh that double hooded scarf...

I have loved that since the moment I saw it...have my fingers crossed for a good sale.

Lovely, lovely choices, adore!

adorefaith - really nice choices! Impulse has become my favorite online store/blog to drool over. That knot necklace looks really similar to the necklaces we would make when I was a camp counselor in college! We called it the "monkey's fist"

isnt it amazing ..
they have so many beautiful things..
i love their styling too..

i would love to try and make that necklace myself :woot:..
do you have any tips?..

:flower:

joining the club, adorefaith, every piece is a nice one. oakny are very nice people too. the hooded scarf and the long carigan are my favorites.
thanks for posting those.

I think if you look up macrame on google you will find many ways of making knots with string to create different effects. I believe that was called a box knot in summer camp.

^ I guess what my shopping strategy all comes down to is being super picky and not feeling very much at all  So when I do feel something, I act ...

^ I tend too act sometimes to late!

I just came back from Browns. I went down there today
to buy the Raf Simons Arm Warmers and
they are Gone ... gone ... gone!
Now I'm stuck with what I initially wanted
Dior Homme fingerless gloves,
But I don't want them any more! :ninja:

Aaaarggghhh!

Maybe I should get the Dior Homme arm warmers
instead I saw at Dover Street market

 ...

I hear you ladies, about the Junya Boots
They do project a serious statement, so probably
not for everyday wear, But goddamn they are Hot! B)

Adorefaith a very lovely selction, I must agree
with what has already been said, The Yohji hooded scarf piece
is fantastic. Love it!
And the Venessa bruno cardigan is also quite special!

Now I'm gonna go and drown my sorrows and listen to
some seriously depressing music ...

PJ Harvey and Siouxsies new albums! :woot:

Ps. if anybody see the Raf Simons Arm Warmers online
somewhere please contact me, I would be very grateful!:flower:

Multi, the Browns website has the armwarmers here, and they don't appear to be sold out.

New Siouxie!

I can't wait until it comes out here. :bounce::bounce:

^I know laika, but at the store
they said they were sold out, but I have just, written to them,
to be sure, that the sales person didn't get it wrong! :ninja:

You can look forward to Siouxsie, and if you like
PJ Harvey buy that album to, but don't buy them on
the same day, it's to much ... I haven't been able to
listen to Siouxsie's album fully yet! :ninja: ...

Ok this is not music must have, but clothing!
I'll stop! :innocent: ...

^oh dear, I hope you get them! I really think they are perfect for you (and you for them ^_^).

let us know how it goes....I will keep my eyes open, in case they surface somewhere.

So many lovely things have been posted lately, esp. the yohji knit piece...

 for Ms. Sioux and Ms. Harvey!
These pins and needles under me seem to sharpen as Siouxsie's release date draws nearer... :woot:

Great blk. skirt, Laika, it's quite sexy. And it has pockets! Can never have enough dresses/skirts with pockets, I say...

thanks for the tip luckyme..
i'm not a very good DIY girl when it comes to clothing or jewelry..
i prefer things like paint and canvas..
;)....:p

so i'm a bit nervous...but i'm going to give it a shot..
the DIY forum is probably the best place for me now..
so i dont pollute this thread with my rope tying troubles..
...

good luck finding your gloves multitude..
:flower:..

Thank you, thank you Laika! :p

Dover Street Market also had some really nice
Raf Simons wool tops and for a reasonable price :ninja: ...

It's going down hill for my economy  ...

Edit: Thank you Miss Faith! :p

bought long fingerless phillip lim gloves in july for winter, now they and similar ones are in all the ads/eds already. i guess a personal must have quickly becomes a trend. But i'll still get alot of use out of them i hope, plus the cashmere fingerless ones from marni i bought last year

I want brown pair of boots with small platforms that I can wear with skirts and jeans in them - elegant but cool stilll too. havent found them yet
