^^ im surprised it healed with gold in it .. piercing place i goto here wont use gold as they say it will reject in a new piercing .. maybe its just the place i go to .. because i wanted gold but got made to have titanium when i first got it done

now i have the smallest clear gem in silver clasp but its so small you dont even notice the silver

^^I heard it's a year healing time. Maybe that's when it's totally healed.

For me, it's difficult to exercise since it's uncomfortable when it's bouncing around or being moved when I run or do ab workouts. I stick to arms and legs with weights, but I can't do strenuous work outs as my piercing is healing.

Yeah the place I went to had quite a good selection. I went with the gold because the last ear piercing I had was done in 14K gold, and I had no problems with it whatsoever. Then when I switched to cheaper studs, problems ensue...so my mom got me a pair of teensy diamond studs for Christmas and I haven't taken them off since...my ears are thanking her and I for it.

Not to mention I like the look of the gold better, I'm not a big fan of the titanium look. But that's just me.

I do not like facial peircings at all. Not my image at all and doesn't fit with my style...i think it can suit some people very well, but not for me!

I've pierced my ears twice now, but the holes have long closed because I often forgot to put in earrings. I don't really feel any regret, though. Piercings aren't too good for the workforce.

Yeah most all places will allow two ear piercings-even my company which is very conservative dress-code wise allowed 2 ear piercings way back in the 90's.

The only piercings I like are ears and nipples! hah. Actually, can anyone who's had the latter vouch for how painful it was? Like, black-out painful?

I have 11 piercings, but you can't really see them right off the bat. I have 2 helix piercings in my left ear, 1 in my right, my right tragus pierced, 2 lobe piercings on each side (altho im only currently wearing earrings in one on each side right now), and my tongue, bellybutton, and vertical clitoral hood are all pierced too. I like the last one because it's personal and pretty shocking, but it's more of a secret because most people don't know it's there.

I love piercings that are well chosen to suit a person's anatomy. Any facial piercing would look horrible on me, but on others, it can really emphasize a nice feature.

Just got my belly pierced. Have 6 in my ears, need two more. My face isn't really suited for piercings...but I really need some more

All I had to do was change from a scented soap Irish Spring to an unscented soap Dove and the pusing went away! :woot: Yes, great news. It's not as sensitive anymore.

My friend who got his navel pierced about 6 months ago says his still puses! But I have managed to change the balls on my piercing so it's not just a boring silver thing.

interesting thread...wish i'd stumbled upon it earlier...i'd thought about body piercings - but the potential pain and infection turned me off. i have really thought about the tragus and a nose stud as well...maybe it's just a personal obsession of mine. i only have my ears pierced...though as Erin has pointed out, some piercings are not acceptable in the professional environment. with the type of work i do - especially in meeting with clients - this is a no, no, no...i can't even wear a stud or hoop in my ears during the day.

I pierced my nipple years ago ( have since taken it out- no longer my thing) and was surprised at how little it hurt.
It was very sore the next day or three though. That was much worse then the actual piercing.
I think as long as you have it done by someone who is skilled and can do it very quick it's not bad at all.

I also had my nipple pierced a few years ago. Like brokenenglish, I was surprised how it didn't actually hurt, just a little sting, and there it was. It heeled also very well. Compared to my belly, tongue and various earpiercings, it was the most "easy" one. :)
I've also heard that a barbell might heel better than a ring.

I had my tragus done today. I love it. Apparantly it really suits me. I didn't hurt as much as everyone had told me either, nor did it make a crunchy sound when the needle went through.

^this is really piquing my interest...but i would get reprimanded (at least) for having that type of piercing in the workplace...perhaps i need a different job ;)

^Piercings don't hurt, they tickle B)

:lol::rofl:

admittedly, when i got my ears pierced, it was spring break and i was inebriated (but i certainly wanted to get them!) so i don't recall feeling anything! :innocent:

^my hair's cut short, so it wouldn't cover the piercing...and no head jewelry/piercing would be accepted. :( maybe i could pierce it and cover with a bandaid at work - pretend it's an ear infection...:innocent:
