angela's editorial by tom craig is the only good part  i love his work

They had me with Gisele. It was a gorgeous issue. But I don't like Gaga here. She looks good but it's booooring. That's not what I was expecting at Porter.

Just what exactly were you expecting from a magazine produced by a luxury ready-to-wear online merchant as an extension of their brand? Elaborate please.

I think what their producing is actually quite impressive considering that print is dying and surely can't be adding much to their margins without much web integration yet.

Browsed through this today, not much stood out. Surprised however (not really) that they've had two consecutive issues with a lack of diversity.

Gaga looks amazing, I like her toned down and I like her done up. Gimmick or no gimmick.

I think the "product of a luxury retailer" comments are harsh. The editorials with Gaga, Karen, Angela & Isabelli are stunning and more than stand up to a lot of shoots in Bazaar & Vogue. Agree more diversity is needed but really starting to love Porter.

Actually, I bought it yesterday and it is quite a solid issue... even though I am not the biggest fan of their cover subject... but it is a very good read... I don't remember reading either Bazaar or Vogue (except main articles) for a while... and let's face it that the selection of models is quite amazing... I find Isabelli's editorial a bit dull but she is so beautiful it almost doesn't matter... Angela's editorial could have been a little bit more interesting too... Karen's edit is just wonderful... I liked it... and I am sure it will only get better!

I think it comes off a bit boring because all the models seem to just be lounging around.. There's a lack of fierceness despite an abundance of a-list models.

I agree with that!
