Prince William and Kate Middleton split?

Why is everyone hating on her? I'm assuming that you all haven't met her personally. God, I would HATE to be a celebrity in England! The papparazzi, tabloids and citizens are all so nasty. They make the American media seem like Puritans.

But anyways, I hope he gets hotter now! His hotness suffered during their relationship, but hopefully now he'll return to his previous hotness level

I have to say that, considering the loss of Lady Diana at the hands of the paps, I am saddened that the British royal family continues to endure the intrusive destruction of the press. It is shameful imo. People buy these tawdry rags, and that's pretty sad as well.

I still find it funny that so many people expected them to get married... the average age for people to get married these days is late twenties for women, early thirties for men. Royals are people too... just with more money and longer names. I don't see Will settling down until 30 (at the youngest). Harry will probably be like Prince Felipe of Spain and wait till near fourty.

"Since when has anything the Daily Mail writes been true..."

Well the stuff they write is more accurate than The Sun and who broke the split story in the first place???

I think the fact that Kate comes from a middle-class background has always been something that was used against her, that she was never going to be good enough. Frankly as someone who was born in the UK and grew up there I think we should have gotten rid of the royals yrs ago. These days I think the monarchy is an outdated institution and it won't be long before they get phased out.

Middle-class, my ****. Her blood might not be as blue as Margaret Thatcher's suits but there's nothing middle-class about Marlborough College and St Andrews...

She's not royalty, she's not from an upper crust family, she doesn't have "pedigree" or family connections. Her mother was an air stewardess not a Lady, Duchess or someone of note. In the eyes of the royal family and the types that Will hangs out with she qualifies as middle class. Sure her family had money but they wouldn't ever be accepted in the world of the royal family.

Well I am sad for the both of them, if its true, and it seems like it is. Its always tough to go through a break-up, especially in public I'm sure. I always liked Kate but I'm sure William will find someone else just as lovely (and someone who everyone can pick apart; a pity that woman whoever she may be!). But I hope he stays single for awhile; he needs that.

I feel sorry for her and hope she disappears from the public eye.. if she starts doing magazine covers and interviews I'll puke

That's sad...I even read a royal-watcher article today that described Kate as poor...:ermm: ...she's better off alone without his baggage...

hmmm saw this one coming.. the press was all over her, way too much. making a big hype around her without knowing for sure what was going on.
oh well, i am sure both will be happy very soon

^^ Well given the hundreds of millions/billions that the royal family have, a few mill qualifies as being poor.

I'm sure Kate will keep her mouth shut. Who knows what may happen in a few yrs if William realizes that she was the one? Failing that I'm sure she met a lot of wealthy and powerful people while she was with Will who could help her with her career or be potential suitors, blabbing to the press would ruin all that.

^ I actually do like her... shes stylish, pretty, and the media always tries to shred her to pieces, where in all honesty she seems down to earth.

She just may be his Camilla; perhaps she won't marry him because he is going to be king, but they will realize their love and get back together years later.

"How come Kate is so unpopular at TFS?"

I don't know. She's always struck me as "nice" and a refreshing change from that over privileged, flashy set that the royals tend to hang around with. I suspect a lot of the hate stems from jealousy and people thinking she's not good enough for William. Y'know if you don't drip in designer clothing, jewels and act like you are the most fabulous woman ev-ah than you just won't cut it as a princess!!

I never saw Kate as someone who was milking her association with William - I never read stuff about her getting a leg up career wise because of who she was dating or getting freebies from designers and such. If anything I imagine dating him cost her a great deal personally.

You think all highly competitive buyers jobs are given to 25 year-olds with no qualifications or experience except a 2:1 in Rah Studies from a second-rate university? I can't see any nepotism there at all.

although, kate is cute, i much prefer william to be hooked up with charlotte casiraghi. i'm hoping this will happen! both of direct royal blood, good looking and the new blood to reign in the future. *crosses fingers*

Alright alright, I'm not a perv and I don't want to sound like one, but I've always wondered if they took there relationship to the 'next level'.

Aren't royals suppose to only marry virgins?

Fairly unlikely that Prince Charles' wife was a virgin.
