Project Runway Season 3

On a lighter note... Did everyone watch Bradleys exit interview video on bravotv.com? :woot: He's too much..

Just saw this comment from Amanda (Kayne's chatty model) on Alison's page:
Alison... just so you know, when the models got to choose which designer they wanted to work with, I was debating between you and Kayne. You got picked first. I have a funny feeling if your outfit was worn by a different model it wouldn't have looked as big. And I also thought the hair added a bit of humor.

Also..

I know if is REALLY soon.. but if you are doing a show this september I want to be in it. I fully support you!

<3 your first project runway model

That's great! I love watching Project Runway, not only is it inspirational it also gives good tips and tricks on how to sew. My sister and I both love sewing and designing our own clothes so Project Runway is a must for us!

I hate Kayne, Robert, Jeffrey and Vincent. Gosh, so many unlikable people this season. Angela seemed to be quite OK in this ep actually, maybe it's just the editing which is driving me crazy.
Jeffrey's dress was great, though. I'm glad that Michael won but I think Jeffrey's was a bit better... Alison was robbed, I didn't like her design but Vincent should be out already! I loved how Laura attacked those vicious, ugly queens and mental Vincent. :p

I agree with what everyone has said about the Vincent/Allison poor choice. I am also shocked the judges did not address the fit of Vincent's dress. The model had to wear her own halter top under the dress so that she would not fall out! He once again had to rely on the models own street clothes to make his design work! Remember the leggings on the model in the dog challenge? To me that is simply not being able to properly complete the challenge...At least Allison worked with the material in different ways. He just wrapped the model in a conical sheet of paper and make her keep on her sports bar...that is what is looked like.

Not impressed with Rachel Zoe and Michael Kors this episode. They added no intelligent critique. Did you notice how Rachel Zoe started using the word "smart" to describe things after she liked the way is sounded when Nina said it?

It's safe to say that the Fashion World is up -in-arms. hahaha, I read several blogs this morning that all came to the consensus of "What were they thinking voting Alison off" I have yet to see a "she should have gone home" comment.

As for the debate on Heidi's outfits/clothing choices, I agree they are disgusting. The teal w/black overlay dress and boots she wore last night was horrific. Talk about making her look bigger than she is. Yes, she was probably in the beginning stages of being pregnat (wasn't she??) during taping but christ, don't make yourself that way.

I feel as though, if Alison's hair-do was like Paris Hilton's and not so much on top of her head as in the back, it would have been better by far. And I kind of feel bad for her model. Yes, this is a cut-throat modelling industry we have today but PLUS SIZE? i dont think she was THAT bad.

Also, completely in my opinion, I think Vincint's model is HIDEOUS. I know the girl got hit by a bus, but she is so ...homely. Can't walk, has no personality when she poses, never smiles, has stringy knarly hair, i just don't get who casted JIA.

I can't believe I missed it last night!!!

I get that Ali went home.... so undeserved!!....
but who won the chanllenge?

^ Thank you....
by just reading the thread I had thought maybe Jeffry had won.
I am excited to see what he came up with....
I usually don't like his stuff but many people here seemed to think he did a great job last night.

I can't believe Alison got auf'ed!! I loved her. :( Her design this time really was bad but her potential and past designs combined are so much more than someone like Vincent! I can't stand that guy. His dress was HORRIBLE. He kept saying it was like "a child's art" and that it got him off... he said it so many times. What a creep! He is so unoriginal and always gets lucky. Alison should have made the top3 imo! Oh well... at least she's getting recognition, with her Dahl line and I hope she'll be doing more stuff in the future!

Michael, the two time champ! I really like the wrap, especially when he explained the fabric he was immitating... he has such a vision! He was saying, when he was constructing it, that he was just letting it take shape and pinning it however it formed naturally and I think it showed in the overall finished look. The gold top was so nice and well executed, and it fit the model well. The skirt was stiff but fit the whole outfit imo.

Jeffrey's design was also very nice. The movement was great and I liked how he dyed the newspaper. I think the belt looked sloppy but that was probably the point... and it looked cool and was a good idea. It was pretty but I prefered Michael's overall look but it was just a taste issue.

Kayne... um. Whoa.

this show has gone down the toilet now that Alison has been auf'd. SHe should of been one of the designers to show at Fashion Week. these "JUDGES" have poor taste! Alison is truley a unique designer above the rest of them...I want a designer with edge, not one that can just make clothing. NYC fahsion is all about clean, straight and boring clothing. The avant-garde does not reside in fashion through the eyes of NYC fashion people. Just look at NYC fashion Week...nothing to talk about ever! isnt that all to sad! I mean what the heck has Michael Kors ever designed that has changed the face of fashion... he is such a bore lets get Three as Four in there at least they have a interesting viewpoint! NINa, sorry girl i wouldn't trust any fashion advice from you, your look bores me to no end, ( lets get DIANE PERNET, http://www.ashadedviewonfashion.com ) Heidi, just a pretty face..
Tim should be the only judge he has the knowledge, charisma and intelect to talk about fashion.TIM challenges the designers like a master! this show has just lost in my book!

ANGELA, VIncent - come on already....i cant even get into it! just remove them please!!!
sorry for the ranting!

Can't agree more with everyone's comments. Vincent is disgusting.

ANYWAYS...about next week....who do you think it is that comes out and is part of the challenge and Angela goes bezerk over? I think it's Anna Wintour, I could tell by the haircut of her silhouette. And plus, even if the challenge is about ordinary women, why would Angela go crazy over an 'ordinary woman'...it's obviously someone huge in the fashion industry.

Of course...I could always be wrong.

I am so pissed!

I watched the show at a neighborhood bar and EVERYONE shouted in disbelief when Alison was voted off. Since Vincent always scores low points for every competition, he should have gone. Then I realized it all comes down to ratings. I'm so freakin' pissed. I feel for Alison.

I love Heidi but could that first outfit have been any more unflattering?

that's why i'm liking laura even more as well. robert and especially kayne are such b*tchy people, for lack of a better word. i liked kayne's dress from the icon revival challenge given the context but in general, i find him a bit tasteless, like versace gone bad.

I don't think it is Anna simply because Elle Magazine is one of the sponsors and I doubt a Conde Publication would promote a Herst sponsered agenda.

Yeah, I did. :yuk: And I thought, "Whatever. Your opinion does not matter."

I liked Jeffrey's design for this challenge as well. I'm beginning to understand his aesthetic and where he's coming from design wise although I wouldn't necessarily be his customer. I can understand his frustration at not having won a challenge yet.

But kudos to Michael. I luff him! Glad to see him shine, finally!

As for Alison, I'm sad to see her go. I was hoping for her to go further instead of crazy Vincent. I heard she's coming out with a collection at shopbop.com next month which is just the venue for her target market. Good luck, Alison!;)

I get the feeling that it might be someone that the designers are close to, like relatives or friends. Angela could be squealing over seeing her sister or mom. Jut a thought from someone who's watched too many reality shows...

That is exactly what my boyfriend was saying! He was doing Sudoku the whole show, but at the end when they did the preview for the next show, he said "It's their moms!"

I really cant get into the uproar over Allison's auf. Frankly I was more upset when Malan was let go.

Allison is cute and sorta consistant but she was never one of the stronger designers. I never, ever, thought she was gonna show make the Top 3 or even the Top 5. So it doesnt make a difference to me if she leaves 9th or 14th. She had to go some time.
