Project Runway

marrimoda, you could NOT have said it any better. i hate wendy..she has no talent and they really should judge on overall performance, not one fugly *** dress thing that LOOKED LIKE NANCY O'DELL'S ORANGE TANK TOP when she first met them anyways. am i the only one who noticed this? and since when did anyone think that nancy had good taste anyways? and YES...ratings ratings ratings....it makes me sick.

omg no posts about last nights show?!!?

interesting points:

so it seems kara saun is about to show some psychosis next week. anyone else a little sick of her zen bullsh*t advice (you better save your soul, you might need it one day, which was a nice saying until they showed her saying it like 5 different times).

anyone found that article popgurl? where vanessa (sp?) rags on the show (and then walked off the show last night when they brought it up! I loved that she did that! 8 )
too bad they didnt show her tossing the wine glass.

I wonder if wendy initiated her makeover or if some of the producers hired like the swan crew to make her over. She does look a ton better, but still.... ugh. :X

Now I really want to know who put the line in wendys daughters picture. I'd bet money michael kors did it.

I don't think the morgan montage was negative, what was the big build up? hell i'd date her, she seems fun as hell. I was waiting for them to show her snorting in the dressing room or something.

OK, lets be completly honest. What did Wendy do that was sooooo bad. Yes, she was the big bad wolf of the lott, YES she is a terrible designer - but honestly what did she do?

I did not see here "sabotaging" anyones designs. She was just unpleasent to work with. But that did not hinder the creativity of the other contestents.

The judges did not know what was going on off the runway, they were judging based on the designs that were in front of them.

Yes, Wendy's talent as a designer is POOR with a capital POOR- but there was always someone that was worse then she- thats why she lasted so long.

Kevin's leadership was terrible- that's why he was eliminated- but i also think that Nora should have been eliminated that day. She was a distraction and much worse then whatever wicked wendy did.

I was thinking the same thing about Wendy, actually. She's horribly unpleasant but at the same time, I think she made it clear that the others brought out her insecurities, that she was a bit of a fish out of water. I also admired the fact that she believed enough in herself to really duke it out, to be able to get her show on the catwalk. I think PR is kind of false in the way that it really doesn't present how cutthroat the industry really is. In only two months of interning in production at a major house, I saw some of the ugliest things I've ever seen in my life. Fashion really, truly, honestly is a business filled with hardened people who are only concerned about the bottom line. It almost makes me feel that, while she's not the best designer, Wendy would do well in fashion nonetheless.

birdofparadise... give us some examples!!!!! 8 )

dirt! dirt! dirt!

If you saw Wendy in the first few episodes, I think you'd get a better idea of why people hate her. Befriending people under false pretenses, etc. Esp. kara saun, who was very close to wendy in the beginning.

So is she seriously coked out? It seems like it to me, but I'm not sure because I don't hang out with coke-heads.

i have to admit that i had the same suspicion as Vanessa, i think wendy drew on the photo herself...she's just crazy enough to do it. And remember wendy was engaging in some serious mind-f*cking with Vanessa in particular, so i see why Vanessa hates her so much.

But it was nice that the producers highlighted Austin in this episode given that he was clearly more talented and should've been in the top 3. Too much time on wendy even here so i'm stopping now..... :D

At least in the clips, she didn't seem coked out to me. She's young, and there are plenty of people I go to college with who act just like that.

This show is addicting, even though it is totally staged by the producers! Anyone ever notice the diclaimer at the end about how the outcome of each show was the judges choices with the input of the producers.

SOOOOOOO HOT!

producers input or not--I think its appropriate wendy is in the final three. I'm actually glad in a way she made it as far as she did, because it depicts reality--even if I dislike her personality and her clothing...You don't have to have talent to make it...shrewdness if a huge part of success and fashion is not an exception. Hussein Chalayan is an industry darling...but he went bankrupt...then he got smart--so if project runway wants teach people about the industry--they succeeded.

BUT HOW THE HELL IS WENDY SMART?! SHE'S JUST A BLOODY b*tch THE PRODUCERS KEEP AROUND BECAUSE SHE MAKES FOR GOOD TELEVISION!

Seriously, all of a sudden, there are a bunch of pro-Wendy posts floating around and... I don't understand it.

She's a sh*tty designer, an incredibly bad tailor (every single one of her clothes have puffy seams), a bitchy woman, an awful friend and a BAD manipulator (everyone caught on to her mind games after a while.)

Unlike Kara Saun and Jay, she's not coming out of the show for the better. More people know who she is, of course, but only because they like to ridicule her, her poor fashion choices, her unbelievably bitchy comments about the other designers on Project Runway (who would want to work with her after that?!), and her obnoxious way of playing "Survivor" politics on an otherwise great reality show based on talent.

Yes, Wendy is now famous... but at what price??? Is she really getting the sort of fame that help her build her career, like Jay and Kara Saun and Austin are getting?

Or will she end up as the Fashion World's Omarosa?

^^ What's that from!?!?

Did anyone see the skit on SNL about Project Runway?

It was hilarious! I loved Rachel Dratch's Wendy impression.
