Rodarte for Target

OMG!! So excited! But must look at the fabrics in person to make sure it's not cheap looking or feeling.

Karma to you, lucy92!!! I've been dying to get a glimpse of this line. I can't believe we have to wait until December to actually see it in person.

thanks, lucy! finally some images. yes... dresses!

the slip dress already reads cheap from here. i hope they hit the knits heavily. knits are far easier to do at a low price point than their ballerina concoctions.

im hoping they do sweaters too! i've been searching for a Rodarte-esque shredded sweater for a while with no such luck and im already planning on that H&M one not being there the next time i go in that store :-(

the black dress is a rip off of jean seberg's dress from "bonjour tristesse"

i can't tell anything by those photos really. apart from that one dress. does seem like their typical narrow shaped dresses.

Thanks for the pics! Is that Tavi in the third one?

i could definitely be her! She did say that she was going out of town, and Rodarte loves her! I'm hoping she'll have better pics of the collection!

"Upon entering this morning's preview for the Rodarte for Target collection (hitting Target.com and stores nationwide December 20th!), editors were asked to sign a release because the event was being filmed. The person behind the camera? None other than precocious style blogger Tavi, who was moving about the crowd wearing very high black heels, printed leggings, and an avant-garde top (we're told she's a friend of the designers). The collection, of which we are forbade to speak of too specifically, is beautiful, ethereal, and lacey, and won't be priced above $80."

^ Same. Usually target collabs are a big pile of "meh" but based on what we've seen I think they're really going to keep some of that "rodarte edge," even if they are limited to cheaper fabrics. I'm only ticked we don't have target in Canada :(

Doesn't look too exciting, imo... and it's a bit too cutesy...?
The black dress is nice but I'm sure the fit will be off on most women, unfortunately...
Hoping other pieces will be better than what has been revealed thus far...

But since this is for Target I would not expect the clothes to made in in the best quality of fabrics but hope they atleast look decently made^_^
