Rodarte for Target

But since this is for Target I would not expect the clothes to made in in the best quality of fabrics but hope they atleast look decently made^_^

true, you get what you paid for, but some collabs have had better quality than others, such erin fetherston

^ Same. Usually target collabs are a big pile of "meh" but based on what we've seen I think they're really going to keep some of that "rodarte edge," even if they are limited to cheaper fabrics. I'm only ticked we don't have target in Canada :(

well if you have your eye on something, you could order online or wait until it gets to ebay, i'm sure some people are nice enough here to maybe purchase it for you ;)

i can't wait to see the images of the whole collection and reviews of the quality/fabric!

True, let's just hope this collection has better quality than some of the ones that did not turn out so well^_^

i'm not really liking this top, looks cheap. Is this legal to put on ebay? i guess someone got a sample of it and is selling it.

that does look pretty cheap. The far away pic looks ok but up close, ick. It looks like so many other things out there.

the cutting actually looks lovely but that stiff lace material is a bit grotesque. i've actually found laces on pieces from second-hand shops to look better than that.

i agree as well...
nothing worse than stiff, scratchy "lace"...
i can't even bring myself to call that sort of thing real lace :ermm:

still curious to see what this will look like/feel like in person...

I'm excited to see this full collection. In the past, I've bought some basic pieces from the Go International collections that I actually love and wear a lot - and they've all held up really well. I have the little puff-sleeve polo shirts from Paul & Joe, the short-sleeved blouses with the ruffles down the front from Behnaz Sarafpour and a lovely peter-pan collar silk blouse with buttons down the back from Libertine.

My feeling is that if I go into these collections with reasonable expectations about the quality and designs, I'm not usually disappointed and I can almost always find one or two things that I really like and will use. The only one that was really a total letdown was the Alexander McQueen.

here is another pic of jean seberg wearing the dress that rodarte modeled their target dress on. (headshot from wikipedia's entry on seberg)

^ Good find!
Not liking this though...so I kinda hope it's NOT a part of the collection.:ninja:

WHAT? OH god, it's kinda scary. The model is scary, so is the dress. Seriously? A ribcage dress?

they have used ribcage/skeleton iconography in their main line collection. i think this might be from their spring line.
