Saint Laurent S/S 2013 Paris

It's an ok collection, but dear lord, those kind of hats need to go away already. The kind of hats where it's so obvious the person is having trouble with one's vision simply because the hat is blocking their eyes. The sad thing is, people wear these hats on the streets!

IDK alot of it looks like what we have seen at Gucci, Cavalli etc in recent years its not too exciting or modern I prefer Tom Ford/ Steffano's take on the brand

I guess it is his intention to try follow quite closely to ysl's original designs. We'll have to wait a couple more seasons until we can see more of 'Slimane' in the collection.

I'm 26, i loved and own many Pilati pieces. I can't see myself (or any of my peers) strutting around in black and white floor-lenght furcoats and hippie-chic ruffled maxidresses . You can dislike Stefano's collection but in my eyes most of his work was way more modern that the majority of the looks i'm seeing here.

I never disliked Stefano's direction. I just never felt there was a diverse aesthetic to his clothing, Hedi's approach is clearly diverse...which is what YSL was all about.

I like how everyone just seems to have forgotten about Tom Ford. :p

It's true that it's the PR machine that will make both Dior and YSL sell...even though I look up to both, for me, these two highly regarded fashion gods have provided quite the amusement this fashion week.

I actually love this hats. It cover my super pale skin from the sun. And that's what an hat is supposed to do.

As overhyped, overblown, and overrated as the Dior show.

For someone like me who appreciates fashion beyond a commercial point-of-view (I'm sure it will sell like there's not tomorrow and will show up in time for the Oscars), this collection was a colossal waste of time. Boring, uninspiring, regurgitated, impoverished, petty.

Ah well, there are many more S/S 2013 shows leagues better than this to look at, thank God.

Also, can someone tell me when he will shows his men's collection. I'm not a woman so I could care less about female fashion.

Next menswear season will take place in mid-late january, by the end of the month in paris. so you've got a long wait ahead

They should make Slimane move out of LA, tout de suite!

So disappointed...its all about the same kind of silhouette and dress stuck on repeat, and yeah it looks a lot like Cavalli and Gucci, cannot believe they let go Pilati for this

did Rachel Zoe design this?

:lol::lol::lol:

^The same emoticon applies not only to the quote but to the entire collection. I never liked Hedi's designs or photography, found him completely pretentious and overrated. Anyway, I was sure that it was going to be all hype and nothing else, so since my expectations were pretty low so I quite like the suits and maybe the shoes but detest the dresses and hats. Anyway, I find it ironic that Raf got ripped to shreds because sending suits down the runway is boring/not fashion/not Dior, yet this is going to be praised to hell and back beucause it has Hedi's touch. Pilati had more of an edge than Hedi at this point to be honest so I'm just going to add SLP to the brands that I used to love but now leave me cold, as simple as that.

Stefano Pilati = Older Women
Hedi Slimane = All Women

I respectfully disagree. I would certainly ask my mother if she was ok in the head if she wore one of these looks. Stefano was for all women and I mean WOMEN not girls. HE could dress a young lady and a grandmother but they'd all still look appropriate. I cannot say that about these clothes here.

I second that. I seriously can't imagine my mom wearing Slimane:blink::shock:
