Saint Laurent S/S 2013 Paris

Dafuq did I just watch?!

This was the most random WIN of all. Favourite collection this season! Wow, it's like all I love in just one collection. Victorian, Spanish, classic, leather, silk, pussybow blouses... It kicked my *** and I can't even breath.

Classic and chic with a freakin' badass twist!

this feels so out of touch with where everyone is at right now, who wants to look like sienna miller 10 years ago?

Little bit of Gucci, little bit of Pucci, and A LOT of very ugly clothes.

Stefano Pilati = Older Women
Hedi Slimane = All Women

Yeah, he did a bit of boho too but from such a rich fashion archive, he picks... what? I don't see where Hedi got his inspiration from.
Beautiful collection but kinda random.

he picked the ysl era that can be combined more easily with his 'im so rock'n'roll' aesthetic. that's the thing that makes the ysl references and his own vision coherent here.
still so terribly uninteresting. never cared for boho chic, not even the actual ysl vision of it, i can't really bring myself to do it here. and there are some outfits that i find very ugly. like this dress: http://s18.postimage.org/knpxj2edl/2012_10_01_19_37_35_saint_laurent_9656.jpg it's vile. and the belt looks like something from Vuitton fall 2011.

i'll pass on this one. i wasn't too excited about hedi doing womenswear but i was more than curious and somehow hoping he'd surprise me. but he didn't. this is exactly (and even a bit less) what i was expecting him to do.

UGH...Thats all i felt for this collection....UGH

I just remmeber how riveting Stefeno's first collection for YSL back in 2004 was and when i compare it to this...just...ugh

Stefano Pilati = Older Women
Hedi Slimane = All Women

I'm 26, i loved and own many Pilati pieces. I can't see myself (or any of my peers) strutting around in black and white floor-lenght furcoats and hippie-chic ruffled maxidresses . You can dislike Stefano's collection but in my eyes most of his work was way more modern that the majority of the looks i'm seeing here.

All the drama, hype and talk was most certainly worth it, amazing collection. I am surprised how feminine and sophisticated this looks without losing the edge and coolness. It's 50% YSL and 50% Hedi: the perfect tailoring (stunning jackets and trousers), the opulent 70's boho/gypsy style meeting a great youthful and modern look, a looks that will NEVER be outdated. Very Stevie Nicks meets rockstars girlfriends. This will sell like hot cakes.

Stefano Pilati = Older Women
Hedi Slimane = All Women

Uhh, what? I've seen young people wearing Stefano's YSL RTW and let's not even talk about the accessories including footwear and leather which spanned across all ages.

Actually, Pilati always looks a little off because he was ahead of the game. :D His FW2011 would fit in very well this SS2013.

I'm somewhat shocked by Slimane...was expecting a "smokier" collection, more Tina Chow than Stevie Nicks...didn't think he has all *these* bottled up struggling to burst forth onto a catwalk...

Picture any girl in her 20s in any of the collections Pilati put out in the last 2-3 years and she'll look far more modern than someone in this. This is actually the kind of thing my aunts consider youthful and crazy. That version of youthful and crazy. No thanks.

OMG. OMG. OMG.
i am in shock. this is the most un-cool thing i have ever seen! my eyes!
i was expecting something so much more modern. this isn't even Tom ford gucci, its Frida Gucci!

It's a beautiful collection, but I didn't like it very much, mainly because it didn't Feel YSL, I know that most of these dresses were created by YSL before Gucci and Cavalli, but with YSL creativity and amazing heritage, why would you just redo the stuff that all have been doing now, he could put prints, and embroidery a la YSL! I like his redo to the color combinations though, specially the blue and green, so YSL! I believe he'll improve

Jesus, can't you people focus on THIS collection and THIS designer?

of course this is not modern, i agree it is straight out of the archives but at least it IS ysl, which means >commercial<
that's all the industry cares about, creating a buzz and selling like water

Hedi is a very good photographer and an average stylist
let's face it, he's not a 'real' designer but he does the job for ysl

even the SL buzz was part of a PR game
we need to stop being romantic with fashion
it's an industry, it's not an atelier

^_^
oh how i've missed your comments...always right on point!

you are right about that...the kate moss's of the world will eat. this. up. :ninja:
but imo it's so dated...
i want to see someone wear this on the red carpet (because you know that's the next sl pr move)...

my god, how much I miss Stefano. what a completely dull and unoriginal collection:yuk:
