Scarves

I love looking at scarves, but I'm afraid I am a little clueless on how to use them.

So far I have tied them around bags, worn them on wrists, as a sash or draped it around my neck.

Any more suggestions?? or any instructions on how to tie a scarf beautifully? :)

I was wondering if anyone knew where to get one of those thin, colorful skinny scarves. I saw some models wear them on the model-streetstyle fashions thread (I think natasha poly and caroline trentini both had one), but as I mentioned before, they're skinny and colorful with a zig-zag type of design. if anyone knows the maker or where to get one that resembles one, i'd appreciate it!

I love scarves. Both knitting them and wearing them, I swear I've made upwards of twenty of them. And to further feed my addiction, I'm buying myself a Burberry one with my birthday money. I can hardly wait.

I wanna know how those Dries Van Noten scarves are made..I can soooo make that myself if I can see it laid out on a flat surface. My next scarf is gonna resemble that if I can help it lol.

^ That one is so lovely, I love chunky scarves in black! Thanks for sharing that picture with us mb117! :flower:

^ mmm...I agree, it's quite lovely. thanks for posting :flower: I wish I could knit my own scarves...as if I need more, but oh, I do love them.

I love it, too. I have made these before-- really easy. Of Dries . . . stealing my designs, again:lol:

They look like this : (sorry the auto-format messes up diagram:()
Just connect the dots, and make the proportions however you want.

It is basically just a regular scarf with a rectangular flap coming out of one of the sides.

wanted to revive a thread on a trend that never died (thank you Dries Van Noten), it just keeps getting bolder and bigger (at least the scarves are). with the cooler weather approaching, I seeing a lot of very large scarves, mostly in great plaids, some florals and even tie-dye...wrapped around necks and heads. I know this isnt a new trend but I think the scarf options are really blowing the doors off this season.

My current love - from Topman (picture from there also). I know there are some back-and-forth opinions on scarves inspired by palestinian scarves, but personally I don't care.

Huge knit-scarves are cozy too :woot:
(only problem is that I got a bad habbit of chewing on my scarves if stressed/worried/bored and no cigarette is present :innocent:)

I love scarves, always have always will

I've picked up a couple of gorgeous ones while I've been on vacation but my favourite is one from zara..

It kind of resembles the ones from the Balenciaga fw 07 collections, which are gorgeous but I don't really have $6000 to spend on a scarf:innocent:

I started wearing scarves long before this sudden trend. I was always teased but now that its "trendy" I don't hear a lot of backlash for it :). I almost always have one on my speedy. I just picked up two missoni scarves. I love the contrasting colors.

I am definitely addicted. I keep buying them and half of them are still in my drawer with price tags still on.
