Stomach Exercises

Hi All,
Thanks for all the replies about stomach crunches. Here's another exercise some of you might do. It's a bit of a killer, but it really gets those lower stomach muscles where the little belly pouch is, so it has to be done!! The exercise is - lie on your back, legs straight out together. Lift legs until they are up in a vertical position, lower until they nearly touch the floor (but don't let them touch the floor). Then repeat. How many can you do before you have to stop or you just have to rest your feet on the floor?

Midori can do so many, and it shows.
Stomach so flat, you could balance a coin on it. :shock:

Actually I could do a few undred but then again I haven't in the LONGEST time. Been a lazy sh*t for a bit.

The day b4 yesterday, I forced myself to do 200 after I read this thread. Oh it hurts, don't make me laugh!! :doh:
 
I did 250 this morning, but I don't think thats the most I can do...


I'm aching all over right now though so I'm not gonna try to find out. :doh:

Some pretty impressive replies here. 200 or 250 leg raises is pretty tough! I need to get myself doing more!

OMG 250 leg raises, i can barely do 10.

I use to love doint stomach crunches because in mandatory PE class, it was always, choose between pushups or crunches. I'm weak in the arms so of course I chose the latter :blush:

Last time I did 500 crunches was awhile ago, and that was an one time thing. My stomach has never been the problem, its the thighs :doh:
 
The question may be "how many CAN you do", but it should be "how many SHOULD you do"? :)

I could do many more, but they say anything past about thirty daily is worthless.. I give my abs a rest every other day. They're just like any other muscle group... they need rest, so I figure, I'll obide by that.

i do a twist crunch {no clue what it's supposed to be called}
& this cycling thing. haha. :lol:
i can do 'bout 250 before i start to dieee
 
Hi All,
Glad this is still going strong! Hope we are all keeping up with our crunches - got to keep those tummies taught and firm!
Seriously - how many crunches are peole doing at the moment. I've got a bit slobbish and lazy - ought to get back into it. Maybe a good session tonight will start me off. Anyone prepared to join me in about 500? I want sore abs tomorrow!
