oooh lucky you - have you been to the ice bar? I'd love to visit all the amazing design shops in Stockholm. we were going to be staying at a really cool hotel by the water .....maybe some other time though. Norway is really close to where i live so I should really make the effort to go there sometime - have you been to Stavanger? Is it nice?

There are good design shops in stockholm too i think- I remember reading about them...but I haven't been (maybe not as good as Helsinki/Copenhagen). Is there not a really great design school in Copenhagen. I have a super book about scandinavian design - i love the furniture & glassware. My brother is an architect and is really into windows from Norway!! Architects are so weird - their little obsessions with really precise things....
I live in aberdeen in scotland. Just a hop & a skip from scandinavia.

yes edinburgh has good buildings - I used to live there a few years ago. we have a new parliament building in edinburgh that will be finished soon. haven't seen it yet but its cost has caused significant scandal here. aberdeen buildings are no so good as edinburgh - a bit austere with all the granite. not so good on a grey day - everything merges to grey.
