I rarely have problems with the quality as far as construction and durability are concerned, but I personally would stay away from shirts/dresses that are 100% polyester because I don't like the feel of it.
Also, cotton t-shirts sometimes rip or get small holes for some reason...

As some of you mentioned before, the socks are really great though! :P

Good
Jeans and the jean jackets are really nice and good quality, especially the jean jackets because they have the perfect wash/fading IMO. I dont know how they are recently, but I got a pair of black skinny jeans over a year ago and I wash them quite often and the color has not faded which happens to me a lot with black jeans.
Simple shirts and tank tops are nice too. Good quality and very soft.
Bad
Knit sweaters. Got two literally like a month ago and the yarn keeps coming apart and ripping. I got a few holes in them now and its not like I'm constantly snagging them so I dont know how its happening. IDK not impressed probably wont repurchase

i have had bad experiences with H&M's tees and tanks. the sizes are off and the shape unflattering and almost all of the tanks ive seen would show my bra straps.

you are better off looking for basics at AA or target. i buy all my tanks at target and simple T's at AA.

sweaters are also thin at H&M. i wouldnt bother.

^great to know about black jeans, I haven't found anything that stays black after washing

Thanks, guys! :flower: Really appreciate it. My town will be getting an H&M at an unspecified time, but it is under construction. There was even an article about it in the paper saying they were hiring. :woot: So it's underway! I won't be so out of the loop.

Do the sizes generally run big or small?

Do the sizes generally run big or small?

I think it depends on the line. Trend and L.O.G.G. tend run rather big while their regular women's line and Divided are very inconsistent as well as their lingerie (the "our perfect" line is ridiculously small compared to the other stuff).

As for their knitwear: I've learned my lesson and only use cold water and a very gently washing liquid these days to keep it wearable.

Trend sizing is gigantic.

Oh btw I found the perfect white blazer. I told the SA that I was returning the off-white blazer because it wasn't, well, white  and she ran out in the store and got this for me in the perfect size:

The fabric is much thicker and it looks more expensive than it is. I got so many compliments when I wore it out last Saturday

My two cents on H&M quality and sizing:

tops: The quality of the thicker t-shirts and the ones from the L.O.G.G. line and especially of the men's line is fine. Everything is else is crap! I've had so many tanks shrink from covering my butt to baring my midriff after one wash  They're often itchy and uncomfy, too. Sizing is all over the place, I think I've had everything from EU32 to EU40 fit me pretty much the same, haha.
jeans: I've only bought one pair of jeans from H&M so far and that's because they stretch so much when wearing them, they sag in the butt and I hate it. IMO the jeans run very big compared to traditional designer sizing but similar to American brands. And I've never seen anything smaller than a sz25 in my H&M, I think.
Blazers and cardis never fit me, way too big around the waist and too tight in the bust and armpits. Arm sleeves are often too short on me. I've had some cardis before (can't resist their cardigan promos) but they all got holes around the seams and on the arm sleeves, unfortunately.
accessories: cheap and cheerful B)
underwear: I love H&M bras. They fit great but I wish they did more unpadded ones. I really hate push-up bras and even when taking out the pads they still make your boobs look kind of fake, haha. Not a big fan of the panties and thongs because the cheap fabrics can get itchy :ninja:

I've kind of sworn off H&M lately, haven't bought anything there in a while. I get all my basics from a brand called American Vintage. A bit pricier than H&M and AA, but easily to be found in sales and outlets and the quality is amazing.

My experience:

GOOD
- tank tops from the LOGG-line, cotton shirts in the LOGG-line (both men&women)
- silk pieces (much better quality than other high street chains)
- wool knitwear (in minority of their knitwear collection, but the pieces I own are decent)
- skinny jeans (I own 4 pairs from H&M)
- scarves
- underwear & lounge wear, in general
- socks and nylons (I always buy H&M nylons)

BAD
- polyester and polyester-blend pieces
- most things from the DIVIDED-line
- shoes (too much PU instead of real leather)
- bags (the cotton ones are fine, the PU ones look cheap)
- blazers, they don't fit me. In that department Zara does a much better job on both cut and fit.

^Oh, I totally agree that Zara makes better blazers! Hands down!

Also agree on bags and shoes are usually crap - plus, a lot of Divided clothing is made out of very cheap material.

Some basic tees/tanks etc. are nice. But others gets twisted seams after wash!

hm, I don't even remember h&m ever carrying silk pieces, it's usually syntetics. anyone has a picture?
but their cotton t-shirts, pyjama bottoms and socks are nice. also new gym wear that's also very affordable. I have also bought very comfortable and nice ballerinas.

The H&M sale is pretty good!!! They have put a lot of rather new collection items on sale for 50% off! Like the beige leather jacket, denim with leather pocket dress, etc. They are all from 2 months ago only!!

Has anyone seen this dress and can tell me which line it's from?

Arrgh I totally forgot about that one! It's apparently from trend, I've seen it online somewhere (not in the online store) and wanted to look for it....

^Of course it's Trend, urgh. And I was just in an H&M store two days ago but didn't see that particular dress.

I have seen a few pieces of the conscious collection out already!!!!!!

Has anyone seen the Glamour collection in stores? I am curious about the suede jacket.
