The Trailer Thread

P. S. Wanna see Fright Night, as well. And Anton Yelchin got hot...:crush:

Ides of March is just my type of film. I shall be seeing it. The cast is brilliant!
It's definite Oscar bait and may get George another director nomination.

battleship looks utterly ridiculous! Margin Call looks interesting, one hell of a cast. I suspect though that it won't quite deliver as much as it promises. The Ides of March looks fantastic, very obviously Oscar bait. I've seen the play its adapted from, Farragut North, so many times, once with Chris Pine playing the Ryan Gosling role.

Margin Call looks really good! Jeremy Irons's acting looks phenomenal, as usualy.
The Ides of March looks quite good as well. I think it's really clever how they referenced Julius Caesar.

New Years Eve looks

Tbh, that's how I feel about all chick flicks and romantic comedies these days. They used to make good ones like the extraordinarily quotable Means Girls and 10 Things I Hate About You. Chick flicks are so trashy nowadays.

Cosign this completely. I love Mean Girls. Yet sadly we live in the days of crap like The Ugly Truth, No Strings Attached, Valentine's Day, New Year's Eve.:yuk: But mostly :(. It's like no one is capable of writing a remotely intelligent comedy (although I will admit to watching the Hangover and liking it:ninja:).

I am looking forward the Ides of March, Immortals, Dark Knight, Spider Man, Moneyball, Drive, Haywire and Main Street only because I am an absolute die-hard of Colin Firth. It's even embarrassing.

Thank you girls for creating and posting in this thread :)

I've just got home from the Devils Double premiere. This film is brilliant. I can't begin to explain how utterly incredible Dom Cooper is in it.

And the equally wonderful Warrior with Tommy Hardy.

^^The Devil's Double looks really good. I think I'll go watch that movie when it comes out.

I think Felicity Jones is such a talent, she's so gorgeous. Like Crazy looks interesting.

purplethistle you really should see devils Double it;s a fantastic film and Dom is starting to get very early Oscar buzz for his roles. It remains to be how it will translate one awards season really gets going though.

I didn't understand The Devil's Double, what true story is it based on? The trailer looks really good and I most probably will check it out.

Like Crazy looks soooo good, love Felicity Jones.

From what I read, can't remember where right now:doh:, seems like it is loosely based on the life a man who had to work as the body double of Saddam Hussein's son.

It's based on the true story of Latif Yahia who was forced to be the 'fiday' (bullet catcher) or body double for Uday Hussain, the oldest son of Saddam Hussain, during the 80's when the Hussain's were at the height of their power. Dom plays both Uday and Latif. It's being billed as a real 'Scarface' type of film.
