UK Vogue July 2014 : Christy Turlington by Patrick Demarchelier

Finally than her got the cover of this mag. I suppose than shot is by Demarchelier, right?

Such a UK Vogue cover! I mean its fine because you got a goddess like her, and she aint airbrushed into oblivion (McLellan?), but a sweater for July? Really? They could have done so much more impressive with her.

She has quite a few UK Vogue covers, i wonder how many in total now.....

NATURALLY beautiful and as super as ever, Christy Turlington covers the July Ageless Style issue of Vogue. Wearing a white Acne mohair sweater and the most minimal make-up, she also wears her signature enigmatic smile - although inside the issue she's far less mysterious.

The supermodel talks candidly to Vogue's Christa D'Souza about childbirth, modelisers and the causes close to her heart. She also reminisces about her supermodel days - from George Michael's Freedom video to the dubious hotels that the girls had to stay in before they were officially super.

Turlington appeared on 14 covers between 1986 and 1996, returning for this, her fifteenth, after an 18-year break.

She's beautiful and I'm incredibly happy they put her on the cover but are you actually kidding me? It's June. The issue is July. Why the hell are you doing a cover that screams the depths of winter? Someone needs to give these magazines a slap. I feel like this year has been the worst for it!

I know everyone's up in arms about the sweater, but honestly, if they didn't have the grey background, it would be such a summery cover - after all, there's nothing more British than a sweater in summer - as I think the grey just makes it seem very wintery.

Aside from that, Christy looks fantastic and it's such a beautiful shot. I really can't find a fault with it, and I can't wait to get my hands on this issue!

The July issue always has pre-fall in it, hence why she is wearing sweater.

CHRISTY!! So beautiful. Not loving the cold color scheme, but I'm just so happy to see her on the cover.

User ash92 basically nailed this in January UK Harper's Bazaar thread:

I feel like she's always styled the same way, very 90's, with a black dress, and her hair in a messy bun...
I love Turlington, and I get that she is the queen of minimalism, but come on, enough already. So boring!

She's still the most beautiful woman on Earth. After all these years Christy's beauty never fades. Such a lovely cover. :)

^^^ Absolutely.

It would be a nice change to style Christy to the point she's unrecognizably glamourous, or otherworldly... But I think with Christy, one can't help but keep her minimal, fresh and clean: she's the epitome of timeless elegance-- no other model even comes close.

I adore that they've kept the retouching to a minimum here to emphasize "Ageless Style". She's obviously older now, and to show and celebrate that for a fashion magazine cover, is a great thing. Hopefully the ugly, OOT, heavy-handed retouching that seems rampant in print these days are coming to an end.

Christy just looks fantastic on the cover but that sweater is not appropriate for a summer issue- it's making me feel hot just looking at it!

This red that is supposed to increase the effect of the '90s and bring an edge to the cover is just too intense and ruining the otherwise great and simple cover; hope it works better in print. Oh, and I so hate when covers are overloaded with type like this. :(
Anyway, I have nothing but pure love for Christy + Patrick.

Wow, 18 years since she last graced the cover? It just begs the question, why?!!! So happy to have her back, and shot by Demarchelier, perfect!

I won't complain about a Christy Turlington cover, but Vogue just gave us this with Christy inside the April issue which was also by Demarchelier.

Lovely cover. Christy is truly shining; her beauty is out of this world!

There are so many texts here. Not impressed.
