UK Vogue March 2023 : Rihanna, A$AP Rocky & Family by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

it would be a struggle if you asked for 3 but he did put out a decent album like 11 years ago lmao.. PMW anyone? how about me and you and you and I..? no? okay . Real question is, has he put out another one ever since? it seems chasing the Owens was his full time job before becoming well.. whatever he’s doing on the cover.

The guy is a poet. He puts Shakespeare into shame

He will be the best singer of all time by Rolling Stone in ten years .

Someone asked at the Super Bowl I was at if anyone could name an ASAP Rocky song and literally not one person could.

^ but you bet they could name ANY of these out of shape players within seconds or even know which team was in red (I couldn't!). That researcher someone needs to do better with his pool of people haha, he wasn't even a performer. I really think that if you grab anyone at, say, Coachella, they CAN easily name his one hit ('f*cking problems').

I can name a few of his songs and I liked her Super Bowl show. Don't sue me! I'd rather see him than Harry Styes..

Like everybody else I am baffled by the fact that the cover was shot by Inez & Vinoodh. The cover screams Leibovitz and the editorial makes me think of Mert & Marcus. Are we supposed to believe that they are holding hands on the cover? Something about the levels(?) is not adding up for me.

Rihanna is always stunning but this has to be one of her weakest covers. Her being a Vogue regular does not make this feel so exclusive either, even if they are showing their child. Maybe they should have just used that shot of the baby. Did they ever reveal the name? I just have the feeling it's something weird like Tsar or Asteroid.

the cover is bad (dad and baby bit is sweet though but it should be inside the issue.

Edward wants Vogue US so bad what a rip off of the American glossy style. we see you Enninful.

I’m so so so tired of seeing celebrities with their babies and families on the cover. even with their hubbies. I couldn’t care less if X or X got knocked up, or has a baby or married or got divorced. leave that to Hello Magazine and People. it cheapens the whole concept of Vogue magazine imo. save it for the inside story if you must.

the editorial doesn’t look great either.

this is not good unfortunately. She's a stunning woman, probably one of the few I think that has the right appeal to work in print.
Here she looks either half asleep, tired and totally not into it. I don't blame her for that (she's got a very young baby), but then why not going for a simpler shoot?
When I think Rihanna I think of energy... here not so much.

We all agree Rihanna deserves a better man. One of the most beautiful woman in the world and her soul sister is... this man.

Well, I don't trust in a guy who calls woman b*tches in his songs. Isn't that quite violent/offensive?

She deserves the man she wants and this is who she chose.
Eventually she took steps with him she never allowed herself to take with others so he must be good for her.

They are a cute couple. Both love fashion and they have a different type of career that allows them to not compete with each other and it’s quite great…

I really wish magazines would stop pulling pictures from the editorial for the cover. What is wrong with shooting a proper cover shot?

I won't change my opinion about him and his music. If she is happy, so good for her. I don't like when a guy calls b*tch to a woman, and even if it's cultural and belongs to this type of music, it's really bad. Her song of killing others is fictional, even as an Asperger (pulling my own card, ha) I understand is not literal. But the ASAP song shows the way several guys talk to a woman, hip hop or not, and I hope he doesn't in real life. Woman are not a thing, they are not whores, prostitutes, etc. When you call a girl b*tch, talks a lot about what you think about them.

LOL! You can say that again.

Anyway I'm glad she's not an ambassador or tied to an organisation that young, impressionable women look up to because we all know how this will end. In tears. And when that happens we'll all once again see an endless stream of articles, as we did with Chris Brown, about what impact it has on women/feminism/society despite the fact that red flags were there all along.

About the cover, it's not doing what Edward thought it would. It's not 'breaking the internet'. This pregnancy has been dragged out so long in the media that the ultimate baby reveals lost its 'exclusivity'. I don't even think there was a 'bidding war' of note for the exclusives.
