US Vogue July 2013 : Katy Perry by Annie Leibovitz

This is a lovely cover. Less is more.

I never though that Katy Perry would ever land a Vogue cover! Wow. I have to admit that this is really pretty! Her stare is enchanting and captivating. While her beauty is laid back and natural. I love how they didn't overdo her makeup here.

The only thing that I'm having a problem with is the color of the text. It's all white that it tends to look bland, dull and boring.

A little too dazed in the face, way too unresolved with the pose and not-so-great composition..a miss for me. Cool catchy songs, though.

It's such a fresh covr. Love the texture and color and thank God no more popstar in colored wigs. She looks nice without tons of make up

whats with her lumpy hair and distracting eye make-up? She looks better in the few candid, red carpet shots I've seen than in this laborious photoshoot image.

I do like concept of a relaxed, full body shot but her awkward bug eye expression and do nothing pose isn't convincing. They could've created an artfully silhouetted image with that wonderfully hued, patterned gown. but instead we get this heavy on the photoshop cover and they still can't make this woman look good. Her skin and limbs has the life and dimension of a cardboard cut-out.
